re: Dillon Bell appreciation

When you say "team player" Dillon Bell is one of the first Dawgs that comes to mind. He willingly did anything and everything they asked of him. One of my favorite on this team.
Bobo is 1-5 Win 2007 at Bama Lose 2008 at UGA 2012 SEC 2023 Sec 2024 at Bama 2025 at UGA
Monken 1-2 Win Nattty, Lose 2020 at Bama 2021 SEC champ

UGA had a receiver drop a TD pass also so those cancel out.
I don't disagree with the other points.
Just my 2 cents worth is that the failure to get Bama off the field on first down in the entire 1st half was a killer. Never allowed GA to get any momentum.
As for the 4th down play, take the points, tie the game and then the pressure flips onto Bama. They now have to score to beat you in regulation or OT and the defense was playing better in the 2nd half.

Let's explore the results
Alabama ran 77 plays and scored 24 pts including a given 3 after a fumble
Georgia ran 53 plays and scored 21 pts
Now which offensive coordinator had the best game?
Just a question.
I can't pull for Auburn, Florida, Tennessee or Alabama in any sport at any time. Especially Auburn.

Its time the NCAA put caps on NIL on a per team basis.

Ah yes, the old screen pass.
Right arm moving around pretty freely on that video if its current.
All of us fans need to realize the number of DGDs is going to go down significantly in the coming years due to NIL and the portal. Fewer and fewer really good but maybe not superstar players will stay in the background when they can go somewhere else and get paid and play. Loyalty to a school is going to be a thing of the past.

My go to is the NOAA weather website. All sorts of maps, graphs and forecasts. But, as with we saw with Helene, the track of the storm is never 100% predictable and that is what makes the difference.
Something has definitely changed. He has gone from "I am coming back to win a championship" to "I'm turning pro" to "I'm not turning pro but I'm in the portal". Who are his advisors, parents, agent? Did he decide he could make more next year in college than if he were drafted? Pro contracts are based on draft positions.
What is true is that the offense regressed in 2024. Lost 2 stud receivers who set records in the NFL. OLine lacked consistency. Running game not steady which when it is clicking takes some pressure off the QB and opens up the offensive passing game.
Pure speculation
Bobo will "retire" or step back to spend more time with family and 3 kids in high school
Searls was a Bobo friend, new OC gets to help pick the OL coach
Other changes, who knows.
I can't remember the last time I saw roughing called. It seems like every one is a running into call these days with only the 5 yard penalty.
I know injuries are a part of the game, but I wonder how much better the offense would have been with the 2 RB's and Etienne healthy this season.
Add to that 2 WR's suspended or kicked off who would have both played significant time in the offense.
Oline I don't have a clue as to why it has looked the way it has this year. It was highly regarded in the preseason.

Bye not beneficial

So, without a huge comeback by Oregon, bye teams will be 0-3. I hope we can be the outlier tomorrow.
His asinine questions at the press conferences were also tiresome.

And speaking of our WR recruiting. Neither Bowers or McConkey were highly recruited receivers. They developed into great players. So, what is the problem with GA attracting highly recruited receivers.
Oh I agree, Just pointing out that if he has to be qb 1, we haven't seen any of his accuracy on deep throws, outs, or crossing patterns which we'll have to have in a full game situation.
