We would still be undefeated without Jordan Davis, but he is as close to what I asked for, no doubt.

The mvp of the offense is Monken.

Much overlooked piece of the puzzle. Good catch.

I can easily argue otherwise.

We are a completely different defensive team with him off the field.

Jordan Davis, Ladd McConkey, Justin Shaffer, Latavious Brini, Ameer Speed and Dan Jackson were all 3* players (or less) that we typically target higher rated players...yet they have all way outperformed their ranking and they are at OLine, DB, WR, DLine.

I think it's amazingly arrogant for anyone to try and second guess Kirby and his staff. They recruit who they want, and then the staff coaches them up for the next 3-5 years, nearly year round. We see maybe 1/10th of what the coaches get to see from these players, yet we have some clowns on here playing Madden with our roster.

It's amazing to think that some posters on this board think they somehow have the right to dispute Kirby and Co.'s decision about QB.

If some people on here think they know more than Kirby, then please pass your resume and email along to Josh Brooks so we can get you on the staff ASAP.

And it would be difficult for me to argue otherwise. I could point out that all of our games have been blowouts with the exception of Clemson, and they were not as close as the score indicates. But yeah....if there is one player that you could point to it would be Jordan Davis. And certainly a lot of games would have been a lot closer if not for Davis.

Probably. I just think we would have won all our games even without him. I am not sure we would win the title without him. And several of the games might have been closer.....MUCH closer. But we have a ton of talent so I think we would have pulled the games out.

Of course that is only my opinion, and you could possibly be right.

Honestly? the one that amazes me the most is McConkey. There is no possible way he should be making the impact he is making. But he just keeps on going and making plays.

If you asked for my opinion on Ladd in August, I would have told you about how great his future StateFarm branch in Northwest Georgia was going to be.

But Kirby, Monken, and the offensive staff have done a hell of a job 1. Finding him when no other P5 school cared, and then 2. Developing and deploying him so effectively.

A lot of other fan bases like to say Kirby can't develop players, but if you look at the Jackson's, Davis', McConkey's that narrative falls away quickly.

That is why many in our fan base needs to stop listening to the thoughts of other fan bases. We care way too much about what other people think.

Everybody has the "right" to dispute what a HC does.Just depends how valid their dispute it.

Hell,I'd guess more than half on this board questioned Kirby on starting Cook last year and even the beginning of this year.

Pride. He would rather be proven right and see Georgia lose, than to be proven wrong and Georgia win the NC with SB. It's that simple....PRIDE.

And 99% of the time they will come across as "amazingly arrogant"

If someone's football opinion mattered that much, they wouldn't be shooting the shite with the retards here.

Who do you think the team wants to listen to, Kirby Smart or Bawcephus42069 from the GSB?

If you told me Stetson Bennett was going to potentially lead us to the Promised Land after wandering 40 years in the desert I would have laughed in your face. We he transferred back I saw he'd thrown like 18 ints at a JUCO I was like nope, don't want. However, I hope he makes me eat my words. If we do indeed win the SEC Title and National Title with him driving the Ferarri it's going to be one of the coolest, greatest underdog stories in the history of the game.
