Anthony Richardson getting all kinds of praise
I just don’t understand where all of it’s coming from?? I get it, he’s strong, fast, and can throw it 100 yards. But the dude can’t hit a receiver in stride, can’t make more than one read before taking off, he mentally breaks down once the ball snaps.

Draft dorks are a different breed of dumb football fans. They strictly look at a guy's performance in a t-shirt and shorts, and then decide that a career loser like Richardson (Or Levis) will be 1st round guys.
God forbid anyone put on their game tape and see just how bad these guys are at organized football. Camp/practice warriors at their finest.
I'm absolutely terrible at figuring out who will become the next great pro, and even I can see how big of busts AR and Levis are about to be.

Same place as the anti-Stet narratives. I used to joke that the sports media is against UGA at every turn, but the continued focus to find fault in anything the players/school does, is so obvious, even Ray Charles can see it. In the face of two consecutive national championships and Stet's storybook career, it's even more undeniable.

Kiper has Richardson going at #9. That seems...insane to me.

I'd rather have Richardson than levis.
Greene, Shockley, and Murray (can throw Hutson Mason in there too) never got on the field in the nfl during a game. Murray got one of the secondary leagues and didn't have "good days". Fromm had a couple of games and didn't have "good days". I remember Shockley in preseason games. The offense didn't move the ball. It didn't appear to be his fault. But I'm not sure if the nfl cares about the why if the QB isn't capable of lifting the offense on his shoulders. What do I know about Stetson's chance versus those other guys
I think Stetson is most comparable to Murray with his moxie, pocket presence, and leadership ability. Then he has more mobility than Murray. From watching the clips of him at the combine he came out and means business. He looks confident and in shape. I'm guessing the Dallas incident was just a bad night. Fromm was kind of perplexing to me because of how he seemed to digress.

that's what happens when you have a buffoon as an OC. I'm sure Fromm with 3 years of Monken would've looked outstanding.

The pro folks all think they can fix his accuracy issues I guess.
He is an athletic freak so if you could make him a better passer he would be pretty good. Mullen is a good QB coach so not sure what happened with his fundamentals.

The football world is filled with fantastic athletes with rocket arms who cant see the field or read defenses and they eventually top out and move to receiver or the non football world.

Bennett and Young have very similar stats. They're both "short" with elusiveness but can still throw accurately. Both played on elite teams with great surrounding talent.
Yet, Bryce is a projected top 5 prospect and Stetson is a mid to late round prospect. I can't reconcile this gap. Can someone explain it to me like I'm 5?

It's because he still has the "walk-on" label in his resume whereas Bryson does not. Seems to be the only major difference outside of the Heisman...which is a shame.

Me either. I’m willing to concede that Bryce has intangibles outside of straight performance stats that scouts like that would put him ahead of Stet ….but that much? Stet basically performs as well as anyone at the combine and has proven he can win with whatever tools he has.
Also, AR has those same intangibles from his performances in live games but those don’t seem to be important….with him it’s all about the combine.
Sad truth is hype and media BS sways opinions and it’s tough to overcome group think. No matter what Stet does he has this “not good enough” label he can’t seem to shake.
I’m just pleased it looks like he’ll get his shot so we’ll see what the outcome is.

Bryce can make plays happen when he scrambles more often than Stetson. I realize Stet made some great TD tosses on scrambles, and ran for TDs and 1st downs on broken plays, but overall Bryce is better at it.

GMs saw Josh Allen's accuracy numbers improve drastically and think they can get Richardson to do that as well, while ignoring that Allen's accuracy improvement is almost unprecedented.
Josh Allen is going to get numerous GMs fired because they're going to draft project QBs too high hoping to get the next Allen.

Sure, but I don't think this entirely accounts for the massive gap between their prospective draft statuses.

No mention of Bryce’s numbers dropping when he lost 2 1st round pick receivers?

Stet impressed me with his work at the bine. He's proven he can belong on an NFL roster...starting is a whole other thing because it depends on where he goes just like anyone else. There are several franchises out there that are QB hellz no matter who's throwing the rock.
Baltimore makes sense, I've read a little on that and some people can call me crazy but I would like to see him on the 49ers. Who knows what Purdy will really look like in the long run and post Jeff Garcia especially that franchises' better teams have been great rosters with so-so QB play at best. I don't think they taken him but that would be ideal imo. Atlanta Falcons anyone? Lol
