because of CV-19 LINK I get wanting to keep the day trippers out
and short term rentals but property owners?

Have no idea how you enforce this especially with state and federal roads going through there.

Headed up to Lake Burton today and I heard
it's getting testy between the locals and folks from Atl coming up to their lake homes.

Good luck. I was reading about that. I doubt they can enforce this however.

My daughter has a house on Lake Blue Ridge. she would be self-quarantining up there but the internet is too slow for her and her husband to work from home.

It has been an issue with people heading to the national forests and destinations essentially taking vacations. The problem is it doesn’t allow those places to adequately plan or meet standards. I bike some gravel roads on national forest roads pretty often. A week ago, I saw the most people I have ever seen hiking and fishing on them. The challenge according to the rangers was that they couldn’t maintain public facilities and it also flooded area stores with no ability to also meet standards.

I guess it needs to be clarified more as a stay in place scenario than a travel to somewhere else you think you can keep away from people. Right now, movement of people from place to place is how this sucker travels. It is domestic now and that travel should be minimized.

She'd be fine with a Verizon Mi Fi
and a mesh amplifier.

Use it at Burton and it works very
well.The local providers suck.

It does.Does she have a portable Wi-Fi device?
I know Sprint makes em.

LINK This is the best device to get the signal back to your device.

It won't help if it's strictly a cell phone signal.

I was banned from my NC Mountain house even though I have owned it long before the Yankees who banned me from it even knew where Rutherford Country was located....

Why are the north Georgians so racist against Atlantans? If Atlanta were a white city, I bet they wouldn't have a problem.

I've never experienced this and I have a getaway house in Blue Ridge.

Well I'm white so maybe your point is more about race rather than Atlanta specifically. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that the vast majority of people from Atlanta who own cabins and such in north GA are white.

Yes, the vast majority of atlantans are black and not only Atlantans that own homes up north are banned. It's a blanket ban on Atlantans because they are mainly black.

Metro Atlanta is majority white and I'm not really sure of your definition of " vast majority" but the city of Atlanta is about 51% black.

My in-laws have a cabin that’s on the Fannin/Gilmer line. Blue ridge is also not allowing “outsiders” if I had the money to own two homes I’d damn sure be thinking about selling a place where I was paying property taxes somewhere like this. Not sure what they’re gona do but they’ve been up there most of the last couple weeks. Now they aren’t welcome?

My in laws have been riding their motorcycles around. No issues.

All of the cars parked at the national parks are getting towed, though.
