The lakes aren’t the only places folks have houses up here.

Never said it was but I would bet 1/3 living on the lakes are permanent resident s anyway.

I get it swelling up with day trippers and
campers on a Memorial Day weekend but saying you guys tripled your population with folks under self quarantine is still stretch.

Think the politicians will refund them their property taxes?

Pretty sure it would have been taken off their FB page by now if it was some type of joke or hoax. Why don't you give em a call tomorrow and find out?

Accidentally responded to the wrong quote/wrong poster. I was replying to the guy who said that the people up there have been looking for a reason to ban Atlantans for years...that's what I was saying was 100% not true.

Distraction due to COVID-19 overload...Previous post edited.

Several people commented that it looked like July 4th this past weekend.

And I wasn’t meaning a sustained population for the past two weeks. The past two weekends have been insane with the nice weather.

Just a little PSA: Habersham Sheriffs Dept had cars towed at Panther Creek this past weekend because people were ignoring measures taken to limit hikers on the trail.

C'mon.I just got back from 3 days up there.Got up Saturday afternoon... wasn't close to a July 4th. I would close all camp grounds up there.I saw folks at Moccasin Creek who were completely ignoring any social distancing.I wasn't recreating BTW.

Once again,my entire discussion involved people with lake homes or other vacation homes not day trippers, hikers or campers.
I'd bet most those places will be restricted pretty soon anyway.

I went to my Pensacola house. They are not letting Yankees or Louisiana people in here, so I’m on board with the current police state.

How many houses do you own, Peter?

Fannin now has 4 cases. The sheriff failed, and now must pay the ultimate consequence. If he has any honor, he will do what needs to be done with little fuss.

Union and Towns should ban Fannin County residents from entering now. They’re the only two North GA counties with no cases now.

Gotta keep those diseased-riddled Blue Ridgeans out.

Back in the 1980s when I lived in Atlanta I had customers in the Blue Ridge area and I would always stop at the Chevron station across from the city park to fill up before heading back to Atlanta. The guy that ran the station had never been to Atlanta in his life. He said, "I've been to Canton once and that was too big for me."
