Sometimes you just have a feeling when an undefeated team's time has come. Saturday feels like that time:

- We're at Auburn's house.
- We have a giant target on us.
- Our quarterback, while he's been great, is a true freshman who still makes some goofs in the passing game.
- Our offensive line is going to face it's biggest challenge. When your best tackle is 6-1, it means we didn't start hitting offensive line recruiting home runs until this past year.
- Our secondary seems to have some episodic breakdowns against QB's that can sling it.

Pretty much my exact thoughts, Lucius. A win won’t surprise and neither will a loss. I’m just not convinced our pass D is good enough to stop a very good, accurate passer in Stidham.

Send the house on blitzes early. Knock Stidham on his butt and get him rattled.

You mean Clemson that lost to Syracuse and LSU that lost to Troy?

hasn't mattered much over the last 30 years of playing there

entirely irrelevant, they aren't going to play any harder than they would if we were ranked 15th or 20th.

the last TFr QB we took to AU beat a top 5 team and our current version has looked 20x better than that guy

it's true AU's DL will test us big time although height is irrelevant, it's game 10 so we know what we've got at this point and height doesn't really matter. UF's DL was pretty heralded and we did just fine. The OL has actually been a pleasant strength this year

this is the only thing you mentioned that actually does make me leery, as lock and bentley both had some success against us. However, I have to think that we are going to go a bit more balls to the wall this game than we did against missouri or SC on defense.

As for things you didn't mention in our favor:

-Our running game is by far better than anything they've seen so far
-We ahve a more efficient passer than anythign they've seen
-Our defense and speical teams are elite, truly.
-We simply have their number like UF did against us in the 2000s. They've had teh better team several times the past 15 years and we've simply found ways to win.

Here's the AU series at AU the last 10 years:

15- both teams mediocre; we won with lambert at QB
13- they were FAR, FAR better and played for a natty and needed a miracle hail mary to win
12- beat their arse
10- won the natty and didn't put it away until the 4th quarter against a team with a losing record
08- we won
06- 4 loss team for us against a top 5 AU team and we dominated

Series with Gus as HC, aside from teh games mentioned above:

16- took a #9 ranked team against unranked UGA and scored 7 total points in a loss
14- another ranked AU team that managed 7 points in the 1st quarter and 0 points after that in a blowout loss

Fact is, Gus really isn't good against UGA period. This may be one of the better AU teams we've faced lately but thsi is damn sure one of the better UGA teams they've faced as well. I'm not sure why our time "has to come" at this point. When you're good, you're good. And we're better than auburn IMO.

We grab momentum, we'll have their throat easy. Defense will punish them very bad.
Watch their wheels fall off again..... Rinse, wash, melt, Gus repeats.

Y'all still don't get it. You cannot run the ball on us. Period. 27-7 junkyard dogs

Kirby got Jones and McElwain's scalps this year. Might as well get Malzahn's also. The Dawgs are going to embarrass Auburn. The game is going to be a laugher.

If we've learned anything this year, what happened in the past is irrelevant. AU is clicking on all cylinders and has been putting up points against lesser competition. They get a lot of yards.

That being said, they also give up a fair amount on the ground so we should be able to run. If we can hold their rushing game it will be interesting. We also have to send more than 4 in after Stidham to disrupt him.

It'll be a coin flip and our last real test to see just how good our team is. I see a 28-24 type of game.

I believe we will have a Lindsay Scott/Mt. Cody type of moment in this game in route to a National Championship season.

I'm full on Disney right now. Can I change my negadawg screen name haha?

Georgia has a better team than Auburn. Obviously the best team doesn’t always win as we have beat Auburn when they were the better team. If we play a good game and limit mistakes and penalties, we win this game.

This game scares me as far as going undefeated. A lose in a close game wouldn't hurt us if we win out, but a win sure does look better on the resume. The pucker factor will be high during this game for me.

Can we just have a blowout moment instead? My heart will be thankful if we can just blow them out

It's inevitable. Just about every single championship team has that one game where to quote Munson "Old Lady Luck saved us."
