Clemson sacked Stidham like 11 times and Auburn has a better OL than SC. We had two sacks on Bently.

We're gonna have to blitz this game. Maybe we've been saving our exotic blitz packages for this game. I said it earlier this year that our pass rush was being overrated. We just don't get the push other teams get.

What makes you think that? Auburn has had something like 13 sacks in their other 8 games. Their OLine is not very good at pass blocking......at all.
Comparing...Georgia has given up 9 sacks in 9 games. Throwing out the Clemson game, Auburn is averaging almost 2 sacks a game.

Granted, South Carolina has given up 20 sacks in 9 games, but that is still 4 fewer sacks than Auburn.

Our pass rush was being overrated? Everyone has been talking about our lack of pass rush. A week or two ago (might still be true) we were last in the SEC in number of sacks.

We rush 4 and play coverage probably 75% of the time. So, 6 blockers vs 4 rushers. Going to be hard to get consistent pressure like that.

I do wish that we'd play more man and less zone when we only rush 4 though. I think most of the 3rd down conversions against SC we were in zone and getting no pressure.

Yep...and if there was ever a game to change that approach - it'll be Saturday.

Well this is interesting. AU's run defense isn't exactly stellar - especially in their last 3 games.

We are going to beat them into submission. We are bigger stronger and faster, and much much deeper. I hope Trigga Tray does something especially stupid to cost them a TD as retribution for the ridiculousness of that Hail Mary...

Couldn't agree more. I can see us starting out in that same defense but if Stidham has a little success or we're not getting home Kirby will unleash the hounds of hell.

Natrez is back also. I think he was a bigger part of this defense than most of us realized. I look forward to our D being 100%.

I just hope he is able to get back into the flow of the game right away. 4 games is a long time and sometimes players aren't as instinctive or conditoned as they should be.

I read somewhere Kirby said he has been practicing with the ones. That was 2 weeks ago though.

true. I remember that,, and I wouldn't say it has been bad. I mean, there is more to a pass rush than sacks. Just getting pressure on the QB is very good, too. Sacks are great, but QB hurries are very effective, too, and Stidham tends to pull the ball down and look for running lanes pretty fast.

I have. They have yet to face a rushing attack like ours. When they did face a team that could run the ball decently, they lost. (LSU)

I think we have a coach that knows how to beat the Gus Bus and I'm looking forward to celebrating yet another win.

East is locked up. That dream has been realized. Now it s time to finish out strong and prove we belong where we are.

Championship teams are not teams that blow everybody out...they are the teams that win close ones when they need to.

This team has given me no reason to think they can't perform at that level. Even Fromm.

Zo finna eat!!
