OL Mirko Jurkovic was not cleared by OSU and he wanted to go to ND instead and they wanted him to go to Holy Cross first. Reports from 24/7 state that he could enroll at UGA and would take the scholarship that was set aside for Devondre Seymour. Rusty has said that it is not a completely done deal just yet, but a lot going on with this.

Here is a link to the story.

This will not help the SEC football factory rep.

Winning cures all ills. It appears UGA is willing to take that risk on this kid. How many times have we seen UGA fans complain at other schools taking those risks, while our guys sit on thumbs. I for one am happy that seems to be changing in Athens.

Sure, why the hell not. 3* OT out of IMG Academy this late in the game and we'd have lost nothing on the Seymour deal? Sounds like a win.

His film looks good. Lot of hustle and playing through the whistle with a bit of a mean streak. Good pickup.

"Here is the deal, looks like Ohio State did not let him in. I was also told that they may have over signed by one.
Two things here.
He is A TAKE FOR UGA no question about it,
I am told he has NOT been accepted into UGA at this time. DOES NOT mean he will not, it all just happened so quick things take a few days to get paperwork done.
He could be in Athens as early as Wednesday we are hearing if things go through. He would take scholly left by Seymour."

Is every other fanbase in the country lighting a candle for Richt every morning because of how good of a program he runs?

frick no. UGA is a laughing stock for thugs. Now you and I both know it happens in every program, but UGA makes headlines because we report it. The other programs cover it up.

UGA gets no love from anyone for anything. So frick everyone and everything.

This is Die time. Death to the motherfrickers.

Good call, Mr Rig. IMac is the perfect example of how acting like we are in the SEC benefitted us.

It's not as egregious as Nutt when he was heppin' people but I'll take it in any degree

Are there any hard rules about what is or is not considered academically eligible? Or is it a "gray" area.

I'd love to get the kid as much as anyone but why would he not be eligible at OState but would be at UGA? It's not like OState only takes Rhodes scholars.

Oh St was over their scholarship cap. This kid just got processed.

If UGA didn't take him, one of our competitors would.
