This should be entertaining.

The Haslams were the one link between the 0-16 Browns, the 2018 Tennessee coaching search, and the Pilot Flying J rebate scam.

Can only say that UT being in dumpster fire mode is surely a good thing since they have often managed to take key recruits from our state. And with Auburn being down also, it should mean that are able to even more of the cream of the crop from our high schools.

It's unbelievable how UT has been in the doldrums for so long after UT dominated us all through the 90's and handed Richt some ugly losses. Lot of analyst were saying UT was on the upswing after their winning stream from last year. I was hearing on the UT board lot of guys think it will be Steele has hc and he will keep Chaney as OC; possibly on an interim basis.

The high point for Tennessee football in the last 15 years was halftime against us in 2020. Think about that.

UGA was grossly mismanaged from 88 until Richt.

The last 6 years of Dooley started it. He was cruising to get 200 and to move on to bigger things, which were eventually put on ice due to being vetted.

Remember how Dooley torpedoed the program with his non-answers about seeking political office? He should’ve been terminated and Erk hired to replace him. I’ve never had the warm fuzzies for him because of that.

They could have had Erk. They wanted him to sign a ten year contract and he felt he was too old for that. What could have been.

He did take a leave of absence to consider the senate run and the Goff hire was on Knapp along with Larry Walker and the rest of his South Georgia mob. They were pushing for their
local boy pretty hard.

I've heard various accounts of happened
with Erk but he claimed he was offered. the job and there's little reason not to believe 'em.

Jeremy Pruitt College Resume:

FL State
-fornicates with other coaches girlfriends
-did same shite he would later do at UGA, but Jimbo wasn't having it
-encouraged to leave after 1 year

UGA
-insubordinate piece of shite
-literally takes his ball and goes home in middle of practice
-fist fights with fellow coaches
-disrespects his boss on sidelines
-shows up at Richt's house drunk and gets dropped with a right hook then choked unconscious by Richt who is still in his pajamas

Alabama
-Saban is only person Pruitt is intimidated of so he doesn't show his arse
-that we know of

Tennessee
-bags of cash in McDonald's bags
-dressed up like the great cornholio at UGA game
-basically salts knoxville to point where nothing will be able to grow there for another 25 years
-takes Fulmer down with him

I love college football.

Is there any truth to that? I’ve heard the rumors, just wondering how accurate they are.

The coaches that could never get rehired for failure or transgressions in the real world that resurface after a year of doing tv work will never stop amazing me.

Boosters wanted Goff because he was everybodys buddy. Dooley just wanted to be AD so he went along. That's where the program started to decline.
Dooley shafted Erk when Auburn came calling after the 1980 NC season. Auburn actually began talking to Vince in October, 1980. Erk asked Vince to recommend him for the HC job if he left but Dooley said no, then decided not to take the auburn job. Erk then decided to leave and the Georgia Southern job came along.
