Been listening to talk radio & he's being listed as high as #5 to Jax, #9 to Tampa & #11 to Chicago... Thought he'd drop to ATL @17...

No way he falls to 17. Tape review of him has actually been kind. He's seen as much more than just a pass rusher now.

That's awesome! I wouldn't mind seeing him play for Atlanta

He's roughly the same size as Von Miller (a few inches taller and 10 lbs lighter) and the NFL is turning into a specialists league. Floyd is a prototypical pass rushing specialist with a proven ability to do other things if asked

Call me crazy, but I think the Giants take him at 10.

Which I wouldn't mind at all, because all the quality LTs will be gone by the 10th pick, and we desperately need help on defense.

Heard earlier that #10 to the Giants is a likely thing to happen.

Just another top 10 Dawg that didn't play that way in Athens...

I'd be happy with Lee. 3 down backer with a ton of speed and pop. Just by comparing tapes and taking off my homer glasses Id rather have him than Floyd. Floyd is a concern in the running game.

Paging RD Dawg to come eat his fricking crow after he relentlessly ripped me for saying Floyd would go in the top 20.

Every year there is a trendy pick driven principally by combine workout and measurables.

This year it is Floyd.

Good for him.

Blame that on Pruitt.

I was saying top-20 for Floyd as well and they were ripping me too.

I don't think Falcons pick him though. He is going to be a SOLB/SAM/Strong side pass rusher in the NFL in a bona fide 3-4.

Quinn runs a 4-3 Under. We already have Reed and Upshaw at SAM. We only have Philip Wheeler at WILL. Floyd doesn't fit as a Weak side OLB that's in coverage a lot.

Darron Lee fits perfectly. Lee can play every down whether we're in base, nickel, dime, doesn't matter. He can cover TE's and RB's from WOLB, play SS, cover slot receivers as a nickel CB, move inside and play ILB, stunt from anywhere, or even lineup just outside Beasley and rush from the edge.

At 4.47 speed at 6'2 240 lbs, Lee is exactly what Quinn is looking for.

^^^^ This guy gets it. Well said! It wouldn't hurt my feelings for Jack to slip down to 17 though.

Myles Jack, Darron Lee, and Su'a Cravens are the same exact player except Jack is a bit better than Lee and Lee is a bit better than Cravens.

If Jack falls to 17, he's a steal. If both Jack and Lee are gone by 17, I see us taking Ragland or Lawson and then going for Cravens on day 2.

Falcons HAVE to fill that WOLB/SS position this draft.

Nothing against Ragland but he's not a 3rd down guy. We need that.
