Almost 4 years ago, home surveillance wasn’t as wide spread as today, especially in a very safe no-crime neighborhood that is gated, and old people don’t latch on to new technology. Even if they did, it would probably be on front door and these killers approached from the lake and wouldn’t have been captured on video.

A head has been found in Louisiana.
All this time to throw it out in a trash bag on the side of he road in LA?
Would be wild if it was the missing head, but I doubt it. Why keep the shite for 4 years and then throw it out on the side of the road where it could be found.
Maybe they wanna get caught?

I doubt it belongs to our victim.

So you are saying she murdered her husband, cut off his head leaving no trace of said head. Then took a boat that is yet to be recovered out into the lake and then jumped into the water with cinder blocks attached to her all the while under the influence of Ambien?

The biggest issue with your plan. The first thing investigative murders do is scan local watering holes. It's the most common place people dump weapons.
Other issues is taking into account passing road cameras. Need a path with zero road cameras to and from location specifically around the time of the plan.
I watch way too many murder and crime shows.

Sounds like binge flick “OZARK” - which was filmed at Lake Alatoona.

Investigation begins tomorrow.

I’ll be in the area Monday afternoon meeting with the architect for my house. Could possibly stop by the crime scene and look for clues afterwards.

Today I visited the place the woman’s body was found, lots of standing timber and very conspicuous area, im convinced she wasn’t sunk there originally.

How thick was this timber? Did you see any ducks?

No chance ducks would have done it and be hanging around years later.

A couple of notes-
-The boat we rented was from a marina that had us driving right by the house. It's a very wide open section of lake and there's no way any boat would be conspicuous whatsoever and any time day or night or summer or winter. It's basically Grand Central Station of the lake.
-I did not have an opportunity to pull up directly to the house, although I now regret that.
From the house to 30' water which is all you'd really need to sink a body, is a 100 yards. Quick and easy. Body bloats with gas, and as soon as the blocks begin to lift, the body starts moving, although it's not going to immediately pop up to the surface right away. It may have even gotten snagged where it was found before finally making it to the surface at the site it was found.
-I did park our party in the cove at the top of the blue circle where the wife's body was found. It's the perfect place for a floating body to get snagged. Tons of timber to snag dangling weighted rope. Any wind from the South would have pushed the body up into that cove, we had a very light southerly breeze and could not get anchor to hold. And wind from the WNW (which were the prevailing winds around that time) would put it closer to the bottom of the blue circle.

I agree. It's right by a jumping rock that is very popular. Lot's of boat traffic.
