I've got nothing but respect for guys who put so much blood and sweat into our team...but how do these guys keep getting on the field?

Those guys aren’t Group 5 conference worthy WR’s. It’s asinine. If our system is too complicated for Blaylock and Pickens to be in every play then we need to change it. Or If we just sub that much we need to quit.

They remind me of Stanley and Chigbu who were taking reps from clearly better players just because they were more experienced. It's maddening.

Simmons I can sort of understand because he is at least a very good blocker.

I can’t figure out what Landers brings to the table.

Peter should be here shortly to tell us how great Stanley is as a Dawg. He is in the league waiting for guys ahead of him to get injured.

In juries and Simmons can block. In our system it is important to be able to block.

I think he's a corner on the Falcons practice squad. Moving to corner was good for him because he couldn't catch herpes in a Vegas brothel. If you've seen the Falcons D this season and realize that there are people on the practice squad who aren't good enough to play on THAT shitty defense, it's safe to say they aren't good football players.

Single most important attribute of a wrs is hands. Great ability to catch the ball.

That’s cool.

Guess what else is important? Catching the football.

Guess what Simmons is incapable of doing? Catching the football.

Pickens has great talent, but he wants to one-hand everything for an ESPN highlight. He also can't run a very good pattern. He never gets separation because he doesn't make sharp cuts or moves on the DBs.

Pickens also kinda worries me with his cockiness I wonder if it’s his attitude that he can get through with his god given talent or will he work in the off season to get better just mho

Smart is working on his attitude. When he one-hands a ball in practice he has to do twenty push-ups. We need a premier WR coach to work on footwork with everyone, except Cager.

Maybe. But Simmons might get targeted for a pass 2-3 times in a game. We might run to his side (or a runner break to the outside on his side) 7-10 times a game.

It needs to be zero. Why would you ever throw him the ball? He’s proven over and over again he can’t catch.

He's fast and can break it if he does catch it.

After you posted this I looked up his stats. he has 10 catches, but I didn't see how many times he has been targeted. Probably have to go back and look it up game by game. I might if I have time. (I have gotten lazy, though, so.... )

ETA

Just checked on ESPN and they didn't list targets. I'm not sure I want to go to too much trouble looking it up.

You also might throw it to him if he is the only guy open. Incomplete pass is better than a sack. besides...he catches the ball. Just not as often as you (or any of us) would like.

Great WRs are often cocky. I just need Pickens to be consistent.

Some of you seem to forget that Pickens may have a bit of an attitude because he’s young. Don’t confuse yourself comparing everyone to Cager who is 22 years old and a grad transfer.

There are a good many "Georgia" fans on these internet message boards who think Pickens has an "attitude" because he jilted Auburn. When you see somebody labelling Pickens as a problem child because of commonplace freshman exciteability and mistakes , you've likely spotted one.

It's the nature of WRs to be cocky, I want guys who want the ball when it matters. Just wish he would dial back the post play stuff and learn that all you just did, was your job.
