With the new world with everyone going to the portal I bet a lot of guys transfer due to position coaches leaving.

A lot of guys transfer too when they don’t fit in to the regional culture of a program.

UGA having three players all the way from California was a big story this year. But now two of them have quit already

Same story plays in reverse too. There’s been many Georgia natives that got lured to California to play, that came running home from commie hell after a year or two

Burton wasn't really from California FYI. He played his last 2 years of HS ball there but look where he was before that.

Burton started out at Hapeville Charter Academy in Atlanta. His next move was to IMG Academy in Florida. A return to Georgia to play for Marietta High School was in the works, but he wasn’t granted eligibility by the Georgia High School Association. That fork in the road led him to California for two seasons at Calabasas High School.

So he's used to bouncing around quite a bit. Transferring is just a continuation of old habits.

It stinks to lose a dude with his talent, but this is not an indictment on the future of UGAs program as the cünts are trying to make it. It is an unfortunate aspect of the current landscape. Smart seems to do a solid job replacing what we lose, so we don’t need to be on the ledge.
