Sad to see you join the band of immature menstruations. All you had to do was admit you were wrong about this, but it was just too hard.

This is what you were wrong about:

quote:

Holyfield and Herrien were in front of him.

Derp + Gnat is how to respond.

I asked you to articulate your position.

Please explain to me what I was wrong about.

Posting a piece of a quote out of context doesn't count.

Use sentences to create paragraphs, and use paragraphs to create a position.

My original statement was (paraphrased) "Cook would have been an earlier impact player if he had been able to enroll early".

Change my mind.

The quote used was well within the context of the subject matter. Point is, Swift wasn’t behind herrien and Holyfield in 2016 as you claimed. Apparently, the late start didn’t keep him down the depth chart like you insinuated.

Swift wasn't here in 2016.

Look at number-string boys numbers, he averaged 6 touches per game. I'd say Swift was pretty far down the depth chart.

I look forward to Swift taking the lead as the feature back in 2018. I love Swift.

What about Cook? That's what we're talking about here.

Not Gurley.

Not Swift.

We're talking about Cook.

Breathe.

Eat berry.

Push it out.

Breathe.

Zamir White is about to be the best running back we've had in 35+ years, but Cook can be a very solid 2nd or 3rd option.

Paper? Real games matter more than imaginary lines. Touches for game 1 -3:

DS 22
BH 18
EH 8

He was so good, he jumped 2 studs. Zamir and Cook might also do it. Thats how good UGA is at RB.

Far be it from me to step into this bitchfest, but where prior to this post did anyone make a claim regarding Swift's status on the depth chart:

quote:

djs: Swift was immediately our #3 rb.
LINK

If anyone needs to provide some evidence, I'd love to see the proof that Swift was ahead of both Herrien and Holyfield prior to camp starting (this would be "immediately")... because I seem to remember discussion of whether he might redshirt as late as mid August due to Chubb/Michel and lack of carries to go around - this was generally dismissed with Moreno being the excuse... but it was bandied about on message boards.

Even by the time the season started, Herrien was the first of the 2 to get a carry out of the backfield... Swift on the other hand did catch 3 balls in the game (some prior to Herrien's first touch) and ended up with 6 carries to Herrien's 4. You would think perhaps that him outperforming might have led to more carries than Herrien the next week... but they both had 2 carries against ND. The numbers still look to keep them even across the next two in terms of carries, but it's pretty clear that by week 3, Swift is a clear #3 with Herrien/Holyfield playing cleanup later in the game mostly.

She will continue to jib and jab and change the narrative until you are resigned to repeating yourself. It’s what cu NTs do.

Cook not enrolling early will affect his playing time this year with everything on the roster at RB and receiver

Cook didn't enroll early.
Neither did Swift.
Neither did Gurley.

Lots of great players have had great freshman seasons without enrolling early.

That isn't a guarantee for Cook.
But Swift was discussed as the most recent success at tailback for a kid who didn't enroll early.
Last season, Andrew Thomas is another example.

The early enrollment doesnt guaranty anything. As Kirby says, players are going to play.

The question for me is can Cook pass block and pick up blitzes?
That will have more of an effect on his early playing time than the early enrollment.

You know he’d be better at that if he enrolled early, right?

And obviously it doesn’t mean he’d play if he enrolled early, but IMO it clearly is an advantage to be an EE.

He'd be 20 pounds heavier if he enrolled early?

The kid is in shape. He's just light and that doesn't help when a defender is crashing in.

Andrew Thomas beat out players who had been on the roster for 3 years.

Time on the roster does not mean better. Especially at tailback and OLB.
I can agree to disagree with you on this one. I love seeing guys EE. But I don't raise expectations for EE freshmen nor do I lower expectations for those reporting in the summer or fall.
