I’m sure that decommit doesn’t affect their morale. This game makes me nervous, as it should anyone

I believe the same. But, it is in Jax, and the gators are a huge rivalry game. So, I could see a 31-17 type game. Probably fairly close until the second half.

Ill be honest if UGA struggles with this Florida team, then they are not who we though they were.

Florida is completely Average. On par with Kentucky and Auburn.

Dawgs should roll and it should never be in doubt.

If that's true, the media outlets they work for should fire them. It was reporters saying all this. For what it's worth, I think Richardson starts this game, not Jones, because Richardson has more or less played the transfer card. Richardson scares me a lot more than Jones does.

Let's not pretend that we aren't getting anything less than Mullen's best shot, this season. I'll bet they weren't this hyped to play Bama, back in September.

That said, I could easily see us knocking Anthony Robinson (or whomever their benchwarmer is that the fans are frothing to see play) and then terrorizing Emory Jones in Colt Brennen-like fashion.

Do tell.

This game means as much to us as them....we have more talent...better coaches and are finally getting healthy.

Shouldn't be close

Humphrey decommited yesterday & a few days ago their #1 class of 2022 recruit LB Shemar James decommitted. Both after recently visiting … Georgia. Think about how that plays out in the minds of these young Gator players/fans. Top commits bailing after visiting GA. The message — Georgia’s better.

I mention fans bc the Gators aren’t selling out their home games. There’s anger & a 3-loss malaise. They’re tired of smug Mullen. Will they fill their side of the stadium? We’ll see.

I think we both can agree that losing these commits certainly doesn’t help their morale. Coupled with the negativity around Mullen & Grantham & the Gator program for losing 3 games (& against KY AND that crappy LSU team). It adds up.

I totally get your anxiety over this game. And as a GA fan, it’s reasonable. But this team is different. This defense is extraordinary.

The Gators are an undisciplined, penalty prone team on the decline. And these Dawgs smell blood.

Enjoy this game. We’re gonna punch them in the mouth all day.

Last year, we had already gotten a beat down from Alabama, so expectations were lessened. Still, we went into last season's Florida game ranked #7 and with numerous accolades about our defense. We know how that turned out - not sure anyone expected us to give up 44 points.

Safe to say we're better this year defensively, though making up for some talent drop in the secondary by playing a lot of zone and with a dominant front seven. I guess the record shows Florida is down from last season but hard to know which Florida team will show up. I'm sure they are looking at this game as one that can make or break their season.

Florida is 2-6 in their last 8 games against power 5 teams. One of the wins was against Vanderbilt.

Florida's defense looks rather porous, if you saw the LSU game. Georgia should be able run the ball down their throats. Look for a lot of Zamir White and Cook on Saturday.

They may not be consistent, but they're capable of playing at a high level (at least offensively), and they definitely have more talent than Kentucky.

This is not last years Florida offense. They are missing Trask, Pitts and Toney. They have no one on their roster that comes close to any of those players.

That said, I agree that they are capable, and if our players take them lightly we could be brought back down to earth quickly.

However, I would think the players want a bit of revenge from last year and will be looking to pile on the points against Florida. Kirby knows (since he has played in this rivalry) what this game means and ill be anxious to whip the Gators soundly.

Then their coaching absolutely sucks because Kentucky beat them.

It should be another interesting test for our defense. We completely shut down Kentucky's running game and I thought they could have rung up some more points with more of the quick passing they did. It seems like they would counter with a run up the middle. One thing Mullen is probably seen on tape is some of the success qb's have had running the ball on us. I seem to recall Nix had some positive gains in the 1st half. Key for us is to stop their run; contain the QB; and force some turnovers. I think the best chance Florida(or any team)has against us is to get out to early lead and force us to where we need to pass. We have been coming out; getting early leads; and then grinding the ball on the ground.
