Been raining on the Weber for an hour - temp holding at 235. Outcome questionable.

Weather putting a damper on the grilling but a good soaking will help when the explosives come out later.

Picked, fried and froze 5 eggplants this afternoon. Kept enough out to reheat in airfryer for dinner...

Only 1 rack of baby backs just me and wifey light rub...

Warming up the poor man's Big Green Egg (Weber kettle)...

Making a chunky Guac dip...

Homegrown corn to grill...

I almost missed this deal. We’ve been out and about traveling and vacationing—it’s that time of the year, you know.

So in a last minute field goal attempt style I managed to get my Pit Boss Grill/Smoker going and cooked a burger using Jack Daniels No. 7 wood pellets for flavor. A couple of Jack Daniels tribute songs: LINK LINK. And you can get a smoke ring on a burger patty.

Dallas, did you know you can grill tomatoes? Might we expect to see some pics of same?

Could you post a pic of a meat thermometer in a crawdad? I managed to insert one into a crab cake in last year’s great GSB bro-off.

For making "The Lop".

Nothing complicated about the Lop, but you want to let the butter soften at room temperture instead of heating or nuking it. You'll see.

Also, here is a random pic of the sky through the chimney of my egg as I lock and load..

Temp probe in a crab cake might be the greatest thing that's ever happened.

Jeff, gotta love it when a plan comes together, looking good...

ETA... amazing how inexpensive the Badia spices are in the Mexican section, quality is as good as the $4.99 stuff.

Cheers fellows. Happy Secession-from-ControlFreaks Day!!!!!

Also, there's some strong grilling performances so far, but no matter what.....I win Coozie-Off sub-category by a mile. Get some.

Jeff, im guessing that's a Bitburger in the coozie next to your wife's hat.

I like bitburger. It's been just over a year since my last one in Cochem.
