You got me there. My nephew fishes in tournaments and keeps a lot of his tackle and fishing gear in the shop so I’m guessing it is.

Alabama Rigs are banned in tournaments.

I can rig up a single plastic worm—that’s as fancy as it gets for me.
As to the use of Alabama rigs, my nephew wishes they were banned in all tournaments but evidently their use varies or at least has varied in the past years depending on the organization sponsoring the event.

Forgot about that
There are my two favorites
My 1911 that is my concealed carry. Just retired to the gun safe the Beretta PX4 storm sub compact .40 for the 1911
And one of my ARs I use for Hog and Deer

American Tactical makes a solid 1911 for the price. If you get a chance take a look at the Desert Eagle 1911s. I bought my first just out of curiosity and I’m rather happy with it. Priced nicely too.

Yes I went on the lower cost 1911 for my first one. Looking at Kimber next but will look at the DE.
I have been carrying Glocks and the beretta for years and wanted a 1911. But wanted to see if I liked to carry one before I make a bigger investment
They are different for sure

Why do people not carry revolvers anymore?

Hats off to the 1911.
Here’s my 92FS 9mm that accompanied me in my travels today.

I’ve got three Sig 1911s and a Springfield Champion Operator. Thing about 1911’s is a hate to scuff them up so I don’t carry them. For a while now I’ve just went with a G19/26 and MPX for a longer gun option.

Props for the Shun. We have a couple of Shuns, and a Kikuichi, along with a whole host of irresponsibly-expensive knives that we got epic bargains on.

Only 6 shots with a revolver. That said, I carry an S&W .38 Police Special when I'm outside around the farm. But I carry a 9mm Beretta when I am away from home. Sometimes I have a .32 semiauto as backup.

Check out the Athens PD vs Zombie video/rat trap thread
I counted 7 shots by the officer that eventually got choke holded by the zombie

Not all of those 7 shots hit the target. When he got back up, the officer should have put him back down immediately. That was his mistake.

Exactly. I was offering data to support your point.
7 shots fired by trained professional at point blank range and still ended up on arse in a choke hold about to be executed with his own weapon

Run a hundred yards as hard as you can then stop 21 feet from whatever you are shooting at then empty a mag and see how many time you miss. LINK
The Kyle Dinkheller murder is another example of how stress effects marksmanship skills.

I'm sure running 100 yards is equivalent to the adrenaline pumping when your life is at stake.
