No, he will probably leave and be a first or second-rounder. Would not blame him one bit if he left.

I'm not sure what we'll get out of Blaylock this year. Two ACL injuries is a lot to come back from and be back to normal right away.

correct me if I'm wrong, but I wanna say Blaylock was mulling over quitting football after his second tear? We haven't gotten any real update on him, have we?

No. He's probably going in the first round in 2022.

I doubt he goes that high coming off an injury without all world production and some maturity issues, but he is probably going to leave anyway.

This. He may go 2nd or 3rd round on potential alone but no way does he touch 1st without a full season to demonstrate consistency and maturity.

If there’s a combine and he’s healthy he will go 1st round.

He has enough very good tape and the measurables will absolutely be there.

He has a lot of tape of him giving very little effort, too.

The report I heard was that there was not "excessive damage" (whatever that means) and recovery should be 6-9 months.

Only the ACL. No other structure to ligaments on the knee. I don’t know all the different ones but a lot of injuries to ACL also include MCL and LCL if I understand correctly.

It might be my imagination or biased view but it seems like we have had a relatively high rate of serious non-contact injuries over the years. I have no idea if the SEC or NCAA track this sort of thing but I would love to know if there's any significant difference across programs. Just kind of feels like we catch a major bad break like this every year with a key player suffering a season-ending injury in practice...or even just jumping to celebrate a play.

Until I see data, I'm going to continue to wonder if there's some bad juju. Maybe Jan Kemp has been afflicting UGA from the beyond?

Divaad Wilson tore his acl the first week of 2018 spring practice. In the Bowl game vs Texas, I don't know if he started but he was on the field the entire game and shined. Hopefully Pickens will get back to 100% for the SECCG and hopefully the playoffs.

I think an agent will be in Pickens's ear telling him not to rush back. The only way we see him again is in a playoff game if he can get back quickly enough, IMO. More likely, he will get surgery and withdraw from school like Nick Bosa did in his junior year at OSU.

Pickens showed out but only sporadically. He could definitely declare after 2021 but without recent playing time he would be a big gamble....I would think.

And once again, with this and the lack of DBs, our season is over before it even starts. Typical Georgia football.
