What mistake?

He signed a 5 star QB who transfered and blue Chip QB's who aren't playing much have tendency to transfer. He also prevented 2 of our biggest rivals from signing him.

yours is the most puerile and juvenile post. No doubt Kirby could have invested more into Fields' development But we probably weren't keeping both QBs. Grow up.

Dabo made the tough choice, Saban made the touch choice. Kirby played it safe, stuck with the less talented QB; can't reach the fruit if you aren't willing to go out on a limb.

Good for Fields, I'm rooting for the kid. He didn't believe a word of Kirby's BS, knew he was the better player and went somewhere and looks unstoppable

Kelly Bryant was garbage, that was an easy choice for Dabo.

The hell he did. He kept Tua on the bench the whole season until Georgia made Jalen their bitch, then put in Tua.

Your mind is broken. Something in your brain isn't wired correctly. And it's not just on this issue, it's something I have seen in your posts going back years, no matter what the issue.

Fromm isn't a scrub. He's a great game manager who doesn't beat himself. Unfortunately, he's not really a game changer ala Fields and hasn't proven he can take over a game if our run game is slowed down. If he was he would have done it by now.

"Game manager" isn't an insult. And, while I have as much confidence as anybody that Fields will continue to impress, he hasn't been pushed one bit yet. You call him a game changer, but what game has he had to change?

GTFO with this "game mgr" garbage. He threw for 30 TD's and 6 INT last year and 2 outta 3 of the highest QBR's in UGA history.

He's also projected as a 1st RD
pick by many NFL scouts.

Kirby played the player who gave us the best chance to win THAT WEEK. If Fields would have stayed he MAY be starting already. Simply no way to say, but to say Kirby made a mistake is 1) WRONG annnnnnd 2) Taking very simpleton-like, and intellectually lazy interpretation to be WRONG.

Congrats little brother. You’ve managed to mutate out your last reasonable DNA sequence in just 2 consecutive posts, and have devolved from dummy to troll.

Bottom line:

The QB position at UGA and tOSU are very different- might as well be different positions. If you swapped Fromm and Fields this year both teams would be worse.

Fromm is out guy, Fields plays for tOSU, so no need to keep this crap going.

Doesn’t play for UGA.

This. Discussions on him often turn into debates (that often get ugly) about whether or not Kirby let the wrong QB go, and what we would be like had he stayed. Pointless argument.

Exactly right. We'll see what he is made of when he does. I expect to see plenty of stunts and pressure applied when he plays the likes of MSU, Wisky, probably Penn State, and Michigan.

Of all those, probably only one has the defense needed to beat him until he sees what he sees in the CFP.

This doesn't seem to be any more true than the 'he can't read a defense' nonsense.

I bet Fields just thought he was the better player (and he might be right), and he was frustrated he didn't get the opportunity when Fromm was playing particularly poor football (The LSU Game).

OK, so you're a Fields fan, not a UGA fan. There's no one player that is bigger than our program. Not. One.

He, well, likely his old man, made the choice that would get him to the league faster, rather than wait his turn here. I'm not mad that he left, so why are you so mad? As recruiting goes, so go transfers. And when you're recruiting at a high level, you're going to have them at every position, but especially at the QB position.

Good QBs transfer when they feel as though they aren't playing as much as they....or their parents.....think they should be.

That's just life in college football.

If you get a generational talent like Justin Fields

Generational talent? You really think people are going to be looking back in 25 years talking about how they'd never ever seen a quarterback as good as Fields? At most, he'll probably be considered a peer of Trevor Lawrence and both will be pretty much forgotten by everyone except their respective schools' fanbases within a few seasons, and possibly be featured on some ESPN-style retrospectives.
