Fromm should be sending him signals from the sideline. He will have a championship before we will.

Plays the marquee position on one of the best teams in the country. Is what it is and we’re going to hear about him a lot this year. Kirby kind of mismanaged the situation last year and Fields is a very, very high level talent that will likely be in New York at season’s end.

But he’s gone and our guy is who we’ve got and we need to ride or die with him and not worry about Fields.

He is unreal and plays for a loaded team. Cannot overstate how poorly Kirby handled that whole situation, and there is a very solid chance we will have to watch him win a Heisman and national championship.

We might look back on the Fields situation as one of the biggest missed opportunity in our program's history. He looks like the #1 pick next year and looked clueless here.

Honestly I think we are holding Fromm back too. Put him at Oklahoma, Clemson, Bama and he is probably a Heisman candidate. He CLEARLY operates best in a spread fast-tempo offense, but we refuse to play that way.

Will be even worse if we play Ohio State in playoffs and lose.

Look, Kirby had a very good but not elite QB in Fromm. He's a defensive coach. They tend to be conservative. He wasn't going to gamble it all to bench the very good QB in favor of an elite talent that wasn't quite ready for prime time.

Now he may wind up looking dumb...but Kirby has made other errors by being very conservative.

Nothing we can do about it now but keep trying to win.

He only looked clueless because we sacrificed him as a first down machine running the football. Anyone who claims it was a legitimate QB competition is delusional.

Exactly. Even if fields were here, you know what? He'd be riding the pine. So it doesn't make a difference anyway. Some of y'all need to move on.

I knew the practice excuse was coming. Simple watch Fields play right now and tell me he isn't far better. You know good and damn well Fromm was the QB and that wasn't going to change.

Isn’t Saban a defensive coach? Taking the risk worked out pretty good for him and he had the balls to do it in the biggest game.

He’s playing in an offensive system that accentuates his skill set perfectly. It’s a 10000x better fit for him than Georgia. If he were better than Fromm last year, he would have beat him out. I’m not sure what else you need to see from Kirby to let you know that’s the case. He’s played the best guy regardless of class time and time again.

If Fields were the starter here we would still call the same plays we're calling for Fromm. We would also probably have the same results.
I love these players and coaches, but until the OC is given free rein to run the offense, we will always play the same conservative game.

Then why recruit him? Why make promises you can’t keep? Why not adjust your offensive scheme for his skillset (which was quoted on commitment day) on a Jeff Senteil video. That’s all i’m saying.

Anyone who says Fields is better than Fromm is an idiot. Georgia is a run first and play good defense type of team. Some of you only think fields is better because he runs a flashy offense. Fromm would look 100x’s better than fields if he were at Ohio State. If Fields were better than Fromm he would have beat him out plain and simple.

This is probably true. At least Fields would have a better chance of doing something with his legs to makeup for the shitty call. Also would be viewed as a threat in the read option plays so defense couldn’t key on the RB.
