While there was plenty of blame for the offense, the defense couldn't stop the Ole Piss QB to save their lives. It was a team effort in my opinion.

I love Gunner and it's not his fault, but he takes the most awful hits .... If he doesn't get concussed on that scramble, we win. Shortly after that, the back had to move Gunner out from under the guard pre snap.

Looks pretty solid. I had high hopes for Marcus Harrison. He was a bit underrated coming out of HS IMO. Watching his tape, he was a big athletic dude with some power.
Two that have had me raising an eyebrow is MIchael Uni and Daniel Calhoun. Both highly ranked coming in that have never seemed to get rolling. What's going on with them, reckon?

Just read on another site that some observers were saying in the scrimmage today that Montgomery was looking pretty good and making a strong push for the backup QB position.
They also said that the #2 OLine looked better than you'd expect 2nd stringers to look. That sounds like pretty good news.

Here’s everything we are hearing.
*** Drew Bobo started the scrimmage with the ones at center. Earnest Greene and Dontrell Glover are on the left side and Zykie Helton is teaming up with Juan Gaston on the right side.
*** Kyron Jones is at it again. He delivered big hit on the first possession. Ellis Robinson ended the series for the offense on a corner blitz where he elevated and batted down a pass from Gunner Stockton.
*** With the No. 2 offense facing the No. 2 defense, Ryan Puglisi was picked off by Terrell Foster on a batted ball.
*** PJ Dean, a true freshman, has gotten some early reps with the No. 1 defense at defensive end.
*** The No. 2 offensive line raises the eyebrows a bit. Jah Jackson is at left tackle, Marcus Harrison at left guard, Malachi Toliver at center, Cortez Smith at right guard and Ekene Ogboko at right tackle.
*** Redshirt freshman WR Landon Roldan scores the first touchdown of the day on a jet sweep. Ryan Montgomery quarterbacked the No. 2 offense on that drive. The first team offense got on the board with a field goal before that. Chunk play from Stockton to Sacovie White-Helton helped set that up.

*** Jeremy Bell and Nick Peal had solid days on special teams. Landon Roldan took some grief from Kirby Smart during kickoff return. Smart said Roldan was tipping even though he ripped off a 35- 40-yard return.

One note I checked on Tuesday turned into an interesting nugget. A longtime booster reached out to me Tuesday evening and told me:
“This is the second practice I have been to in camp, and they are shorter than ones in the past.”
I checked with some sources on my end, and I did find out that Georgia has been cutting practice time down some. The Bulldogs have been going about 20 minutes shorter than in years past on some days — not every day, but definitely on a few of them.
So I asked why.
The answer: “Let’s just say we are trying something a little different and see where we are in January.”
Tuck that one away.
Georgia is still getting the same number of practice days, and I’m told the energy level remains extremely high. But cutting roughly 20 minutes off some practices over the course of several months could be significant when it comes to keeping this team fresh down the stretch.
That’s something to watch.
Georgia freshman making noise
I’ve also had multiple people reach out to me about true freshman Valdin Sone and how much he has come on over the last few weeks along the defensive line.
“He was giving some folks fits in pass-rush drills,” one source told me Tuesday.
I am confident Sone is going to play this year — and play real minutes. Kirby Smart said as much on Tuesday when he met with the media.
He was a highly recruited prospect. Georgia and Ohio State were the two schools battling it out for him toward the end of his recruitment.
Now he’s starting to show why.
Talyn Taylor is heating up
Taylor, a former five-star wide receiver, is a player Georgia really needs to take that next step forward. For most of fall camp, Taylor has been relatively quiet behind London Humphreys.
But I would not write him off just yet.
He’s had what I would call a good last week of practices, and on Tuesday I was told he was one of the standouts of the day.
Taylor caught several balls in team settings and made some tough catches in traffic against the first-team defense.
The talent has never been the question.
To me, Taylor has as much upside as just about anyone in that receiver room. He gets to fifth gear as quickly as anyone on the roster. Now it’s about putting it all together consistently.
I wouldn’t write Talyn Taylor off in Athens—not by a long shot.
Gunner Stockton continues to roll
The Georgia quarterback had another big day Tuesday. Multiple sources tell UGASports that he was sharp.
And at this point, that is starting to become repetitive. Stockton has been playing his best ball of late. Pretty much every practice since the first scrimmage has been stellar.
That’s exactly what Georgia wants to see from its starting quarterback as the season gets closer.
