You do that. And also count how many times he's caught a pass in the years he's been here.

Because that's the only way he can contribute to the team, right?

No. He can play special teams - which we already have enough of. But we do need bench warmers. Is a spot for a mid-special teams worth it?

We already have enough special teams players? What are you basing that off of?

Again, what role? Has he even caught 10 passes in his entire career? Sure, the blocked punt was awesome, but that was protection breakdown, not his ability. Hell, even Rod Rob would have gotten it had he not pulled up out of speer's way. So, just what is he good for? Scout team? Isn't that where the younger ones usually go?

If Kirby didn't think he was needed, he wouldn't be back.

not sure why this is such a challenge for you. Leadership can also be a big factor, even if he doesn't play a snap

Not a challenge at all. Which is better - perceived leadership and being a non-factor on the field, or using that spot to bring back someone who can contribute?

It's an interesting question. Maybe a guy like him adds some experience and consistency to the practice squad over several months which could be worth more than we think.

He might not be an exceptional talent, but not sure how many of those are waiting around to join a 105 man roster in August.

Anyways, sounds like a decently positive addition to the team based on some random Colorado court ruling. Free money.

He actually bounced around longer than I would have thought. I checked after I posted. Started two game apparently. May have been a self own. Was a hard watch in the red and black tho for sure.

Not really. He bounced and then got injured. Bounced and then got injured. Teams dont cut you when you are on IR.

He started 2 games when the starter and backup ahead of him were both injured at the same time.
He wasnt good enough to hold off either of them (so 3rd string at his best. But probably not even that good as he couldn't stay in camp when he was not injured. The only way he hung around the same team was IR)

And that was at guard.

The whole world knew he wasnt a tackle except for Catalina, his dad, and Richt/UGA who promised him tackle to get the transfer from Rhode Island.

Shame on us for keeping him there when he would have been better at his natural position (better for us. Better for himself)
