Does Kirby’s seat start to heat up with another loss in 2020?

I would say that our game against Mizzou is a toss up because they can score in bunches and we, obviously, struggle to do much on offense.

Will people give Kirby a pass because of COVID and injuries, or does he start to get a little uncomfortable after a 7-3 season?

I’d say the warming up process started yesterday.

He's going 8-2 this year. Our schedule is trash moving forward.

With all the injuries and not having a QB in an All-SEC schedule, he's not on the hot seat with another loss. Honestly he's one hotshot QB away from having us contending for another NC.

That’s a hotshot QB you’re going to be waiting a long arse time for with Kirby at the helm.

Let’s say JT leaves. It’s 2021 and we have BVG and a returning Stetson who won us 8 games in 2020. Who starts? You know the answer and it ain’t good

It should be hot now. We are never winning a national title with Kirby so it's time to shitcan him and find someone who will win one.

Daniels was one of the best in the country and BVG is as well. Beck also. They’ll all be competing next year.

But no....Kirby sucks at QB.

No.

He knows better than anyone he fricked up on the Fields situation pretty hard. He did his due diligence in the off-season to bring in a transfer who ended up fricking us all over. I think we can agree after yesterday he made the right call starting Stet over Mathis. This means either JT is still injured or he is a complete dumpster fire. I'm going to wait to see how the next season or 2 of offensive talent plays out before calling it.

Kirby is the best we can do at this point anyway. Even circling around the thought of a new coach is a waste of time.

I don’t think his job security is in question yet but for the first time his seat started to increase in temperature. I think 2021 is where you can start to see a real shift in allegiance should it go super poorly.

I’m still a Kirby apologist but I think if anything he’s just not lost the benefit of the doubt

That about sums it up for me.

No but the writing is on the wall looking at the situation objectively. He will not be coaching in 2026 at UGA.

Kirby is officially on a seat that now has an expiration date. Wouldn’t say it’s hot, yet.

I think there’s more questions than answers for the first time since we closed out the 2016 season. And I think that is a good thing. I think Kirby was hungry to prove himself in 2017 - I don’t think our lack of elite success is due to Kirby losing an edge or anything, but I do believe an edge needs to be set on Kirby. He needs to feel some pressure. It’s year 5 and he officially looks like Mark Richt after a humiliating loss to Florida. I’m hoping this is the moment that makes Kirby evolve and become a great head coach. Because he has been good but not great so far.

So we are never winning a title with a coach that was literally 2 plays away from winning a title? Got it.

3 coaches have won 9 out of the last 12 national titles. I guess we should hire one of them?
