I seem to recall Bear Himself making comments critical of the coaches to the effect he should be getting more snaps. Well he’s getting them at USC and his stats are a bit dismal, so maybe the UGA
Coaches DID know what they were doing after all.

Having Jalen Carter take out three linemen tends to open lanes he's not finding at USCw.

We are missing Jalen’s disruptiveness this year for sure

I not much into the NFL but it's fun to watch the Eagles' defense. Carter, Davis, Dean and Smith, Jr. were strong against the Dolphins. Dawgs are winners. Trojans are losers.

He is Jalen Carter on that team. That's the problem.

It's one thing to be the focal point on a team with a dozen NFL caliber defenders who all garner attention. It's another entirely to be that on a defense with subpar defensive coaching and only 1 or 2 other NFL caliber players on that side.

Bear has played pretty well this season, but I think he would have been much further along (and more statistically productive) had he stayed in Athens.

When the draft comes up and he is evaluated, they will certainly take into account the degree to which he bashed his old coaches. Not just coaches on a staff that was having a bad run, but a staff that is the best in College football. Coaches are not big on players who have a track record of bashing coaches.

I'm not sure I'd say 15 tackles and 3.5 TFL are playing pretty well.

He’s been pretty decent as far as disruption.

I think one of the most frustrating things, is that we could absolutely use him and it’s a weak spot for our team. Instead, he took immediate money when he could have looked at the long term view and saw where our guys have been drafted, and I think he’s hurt his stock going to USC.

He doesn't add anything that we don't already have.

We don't have the ability to 2 gap at the 3 technique.

Warren Brinson is penetrating and 1 gapping fine. We just aren't finishing on those plays.

He’s better than Brinson and adds depth which we have very little of at that position.

If he worked hard in the off-season he could have been very good.

I'd say that he finishes better at the moment.

But snap in and snap out, they are extremely similar.

He doesn't add depth because he was a cancer.
He hurt more than he helped.
We will have better depth when TID is back on the field.

Will be available for Jax.
Just coming back so not sure how many snaps but he’ll be available.

One of my favorite interview quotes from Bear at USC was something along the lines of. “At Georgia, I was just another guy but here at USC, I really stand out.” I found it hysterical, because he is basically calling out the defensive talent at USC while saying UGA was loaded.

This is the biggest red flag. In the NFL, you're likely going to be just another guy. If you need to shine to contribute, you're a problem waiting to happen.
