I dont.
Former players and high school coaches can have contacts within the university/athletics dept. These can be trainers, support staff, other coaches. Heck, the relationships can be with players themselves (especially when these posters/admin are so heavily involved in recruiting.

So, shill...my degree from UGA was in English and I’m telling you it was poorly constructed.

First of all... it's an internet message board, so playing grammar police is a little pedantic, wouldn't you say? Secondarily, it sounds like you probably could have spent a little more time studying the concept of context clues.

So Kirby says he hopes to have Gilbert back with the team soon and some so called insider on a forum says he is done for the year, so you just automatically believe him. Ok. I usually just refer to them as click bait.

You do you. No one is asking you to give any credence to any poster that you don't believe.

How is it beneficial to communicate about rumors, that may or may not be true based on what someone who nobody knows other than a user name on anonymous message boards? You know what Kirby said, stick with that for gawd sake.
Guess I’ll just stick with the practice notes and bench presses. Y’all boys have fun.

It’s called the off-season… GTFO if you can’t handle it. Thanks.

Coaches and staff are not supposed to talk outside the program. I have a close friend who is a coach at UGA and I get very few current events from him and nothing that would be a “scoop”…. I assume that “plugged in” people are getting 2nd and 3rd hand info from players family and friends. If staff are talking, they risk their jobs.

I used to be good friends with a high-profile high school coach who has since moved on from our program. He was very close to a UGA coach in the Richt years. He told me several things before they came out in public, and things only a true insider would know. These contacts exist, but there are so many more who claim to be insiders who aren’t. You have to look at track record.

Rumors sometimes get started within a program to expose someone with a loose tongue.

I’m not allowed to speak on Gilbert and because of that I haven’t. He isn’t expected to play this year and has more important things going on.

also have mentioned previously that Arik Gilbert would be out indefinitely. This is also incorrect and premature on my behalf. Staff expects Arik Gilbert to also be available for Clemson.

Seems like he should have gone with his gut instinct and not spoken on the matter.

He wants to be a WR. His 40 time is close to 4.8. That's not WR speed. He's a TE, and I believe the coaches have been trying to get this into his thick skull. I've heard this could be the real reason he's having "issues".
