Subtract the yardage Murray gave up on his frequent fumbles and interceptions and then compare him to Fromm. We have a much better QB now.

Impressed with how Wims and Godwin snatch the ball out of the air. Fromm can spin it.

How mad does it make you that Murray is the best QB in school history?

Fromm has really developed since that game.

How quickly people forget that you were all facetiously calling Aaron "Big Game Murray" because of all the big games Aaron threw or fumbled away.
Aaron Murray never won any championship. It was four years of stats and futility.

It's a uga tradition to have uga qbs choke. It's not unique to murray as you insinuate.

Fromm has a bright future. In time I think he'll become one of the best QBs in the nation with all the experience he'll get. I'm looking forward to the potential match up in Atlanta. Our secondary has been smothering, but you've got playmakers and if Fromm gets hot I really think he could hurt us.

Just spent an hour watching all of those vids - man I'm pumped.
Good work!
When you watch those plays like that you really appreciate how well Fromm and his receivers have progressed this year. Wims is a beast and if Hardeman gets his hands right we're going to have a hell of a passing game through the rest of the season.

Javon Wims might be the most underrated factor in our start.
He has made some huge catches this year.
Its nice to have a dependable big body for Fromm to target in the redzone and third downs

I agree, Fromm is making good progress and he seems to think fast and make good decisions. But his progress won't be a steady trend. We'll face some better defenses and he'll struggle in some games. Teams will try to confuse his pre-snap reads and he'll be forced to do more thinking on the fly.
Despite Whiznot's opinion, Fromm's not Aaron Murray yet, Murray lived in the film room to perfect his craft. Jake still has thousands of hours of study and lots of reps to go.

Blocking really well too. He could be an NFL receiver if he keeps it up, imo.

I suggest that you go back and look at any of Aaron Murray's games for his first two years and compare him in the pocket vs Jake Fromm. It took Murray a couple of years to learn how to move and be comfortable in the pocket. Jake Fromm was comfortable in the pocket from game one.
The Murray mythology is a joke. Aaron bordered on greatness after a couple of years but he wasn't as good as David Greene or D. J. Shockley.

No need to get carried away prematurely but I will say that Fromm appears to be a bigger, slightly faster version of Aaron Murray with a quicker release and a stronger throwing arm with excellent touch depending on the situation. The main thing I see in the area of improvement is the ability to look-off defenders and then throw to the opposite side of the field. But when Fromm makes a perfectly placed pass as he so often does, it's difficult for college level DB's to defend the play even when they see where the pass is going.

I don't think any pro-Murray fans would say he was great from day one, but he put up gawdy passing numbers his entire career and continued to progress throughout his time at UGA. His overall body of work suggests he is one of the best QBs to ever start at this school and Fromm has an air about him that reminds many people of Murray.

Fromm=Murray
Eason=Better version of Lambert

I equate Eason to Mettenberger. Possibly Stafford.
It just takes time for some guys to get to that level. The talent is there before the ability to execute does.

Fromm as a true freshman is completely comfortable at quarterback. Aaron Murray was never that comfortable as a redshirt freshman or as a sophomore.
Jake Fromm is that rare thing, a natural.
