I was bored a few nights ago and started watching the replays of the games to look more closely at what Fromm has done this year. Stats are one thing but they don't tell the full story. I thought it'd be helpful to cut up the games to show all of his snaps where he throws or runs it himself (including sacks).

I've still got to do this for App State when I have time and need to see if I can find a better quality version of the Samford game to recut, but I wanted to share with everyone else in case they are interested.

Fromm Vs. Georgia (G-Day)

Fromm Vs. App St.

Fromm Vs. Notre Dame

Fromm Vs. Samford

Fromm Vs. Mississippi State

Fromm Vs. Tennessee

Fromm Vs. Vanderbilt

Fromm Vs. Missouri

Fromm Vs. Florida

Fromm Vs. South Carolina

Fromm Vs. Auburn

Fromm Vs. Kentucky

Fromm Vs. Georgia Tech

Fromm Vs. Auburn (SECCG)

Fromm Vs. Oklahoma (Rose Bowl)

Fromm Vs. Alabama (CFPNCG)

A lot of missed opportunities against ND. We very possibly could have won by two or three TDs.

If Mecole makes that catch in the 4th I think you’re right

Started off the season looking like complete shite on the OLine and watching the subsequent videos, they seem to have figured out who should be playing on offense all around.

Not exactly sure why he tried to cradle that ball like a baby instead of using his hands.

Not a natural receiver/lack of experience... He's still developing his hands, and likely didn't trust them enough at that point... Ultimately, it ended up not being the difference maker, but I'd bet it's been a teaching point along the way.

I'm gonna assume he didn't quit trust his own hands just yet.

Watching Mizzou.....

The play around 2:30 where he hits Nauta on the check down.....whoever was lined up as the #1 over there ran a vert and was wide open. You can see it on the replay from the end zone cam. He missed that one although sometimes verticals are ran just to help run coverage off to help make a route underneath open.

Thanks for the videos! Another big thing that highlights don't capture well is Fromm's ball handling on run plays. He is very smooth on handoffs and the camera and the defense (and my eyes) have missed his fakes several times this year. Big difference from Eason, and harder for defenses to immediately key in on the ball carrier. Chaney's starting to use more misdirection in the backfield and Fromm is well equipped to take full advantage of that.

I hope he and the offense have a good bye week. UF will be their toughest challenge so far IMO.

Chaney and Fromm sure do attack the numbers. One of the few throws over the middle was picked off.

Atracking the perimeter like that also spreads their defense wide to help with the inside run game.

Personally, I like attacking the linebackers in pass coverage. But if what we are doing is working, why mess with it.

I've gotten to the point where I forget that Fromm is a true freshman. He slings the ball around fearlessly but with intent and accuracy. It's just amazing to see the difference between how he approaches each play compared to Eason last year. Granted, it's not a truly fair comparison considering the talent and execution we have this year vs. last year, but just watching how Fromm handles the offense compared to Eason last year is almost like night and day.

One thing I really liked to see was actually Fromm's worst play. When he threw the pick he pulled the linebacker down from behind, you don't see that every day from a QB. Even when Fromm messes up he gives 100 percent and learns from it.

The weird comparative stat of the day...

Jake Fromm threw for 326 yards against Mizzou.

Matt Stafford didn't throw for over 300 yards at UGA until the 6th game of his junior season (2008 Tennessee game).

Murray didn't do it until his 19th game, with 12 more attempts. Keep chunking it down the field Fromm

It was Ridley running to go route down the far side line and I saw this when I watch it back earlier this week as well. The play where it was even more evident is right after the check down to Nauta when he throws it to the near side of the field for completion. My expectation is that Cheney/Smart will point out a good decision to complete it to Wims but would have been even better to Ridley
