... Kessler was not coming here once Fox was given the boot (and probably wouldn't have with him here either). I'm not sure where this shite keeps coming from.

We are a big man short of having a potentially good team.

Crean is doing a good job of getting shooters who can hit shots when Wheeler kicks it out to them.

KD, Etter, Horne, Baumann, Ingram, JAR, and McDowell are all good shooters.

UGA has an unfortunate history of starting guys who are one-trick ponies due to lack of playmakers. PJ Horne and Tyree Crump come to mind.

PG- Wheeler
SG- KD Johnson
SF- Jabri Abdur-Rahim
PF- Jaylin Ingram
C- Decent transfer

That is a team that has real potential. Guys like PJ Horne and Tye Fagan who can really only do one thing should be coming off the bench. Horne is the classic 3 & D player.

I know. I’m saying part of the reason we were unsuccessful this year is we had too many guys who can only do one thing offensively. Fagan can only make layups.

Georgia sophomore Sahvir Wheeler, one of the best passers in the college game, told ESPN he will enter the NCAA transfer portal and will also declare for the NBA draft while maintaining his collegiate eligibility

Oh my god. This is absolutely awful. The NCAA transfer portal is going to kill college sports. This is getting beyond ridiculous.

No, I think Crean killed UGA college basketball. He doesn’t get all the credit for it, because all he really did was pull the plug on a vegetable, but I don’t put the blame here on the transfer portal.

It is time for UGA basketball to act like a recently divorced mother of two. Go buy a great big set of fake titties, shave your hoo hoo, buy a Peleton, and go find a rich dude

I literally can’t even process this. What bum out of all the sleazy liars out there can’t even keep his people for 2-3 years.

The portal just makes the pathway to the exit easy, it’s not the reason this is happening. Message is clear: Crean’s players hate him and we need to move on with the quickness

then you simply have an axe to grind. It's obvious to anyone with eyes what the free agency, no holds barred portal is doing to cbb and not just at UGA. At one point a few weeks ago there were over TWELVE HUNDRED PLAYERS in the portal! That's like if essentially half of all D1 basketball teams had their entire starting roster enter the portal. You're just being willfully obtuse to think this is all crean's fault. It will hurt us more than it will hurt a lot of other teams being that we aren't a good program, that's obvious, but the main problem here is the portal. Not whoever our coach is.

WG is right. Some of this is on Crean, but this is the new reality of transfer portal college basketball. Heck, even Roy Williams recently said he just retired because this situation has become unmanageable.
