Per the Hope website. The per SEMESTER payment for a maximun 15 hours enrolled is $3,495.00.
So you're looking at around $7,000.00 per year and if a potential FB player qualifies for Pell thats
another 4K to 5k per year.
Still is only going to work for players with no other full football offers. Being a scholarship player has perks beyond just the money. Where you live, where you eat, cost of attendance payments, etc.

No doubt it has to be a very special circumstance.Probably a situation where the kid
was injured most of his career or just didn't play but was perhaps a very good athlete
in another sport.

only rule but I could be confusing it with using an athletic scholarship in another sport.
Any athletic scholarships count against the limit.

This. Walk-ons really do take on all the shitty parts of being a football player and get almost none of the good stuff (they get access to the academic services like tutoring and get to call themselves UGA football players but that's about it). Ultimate goal is to earn a scholarship and oftentimes that never happens.

The 2017 St. Thomas Aquinas defense must be pretty nasty with these juniors and seniors...

Patrick Surtain and Asante Samuel's kids were offered...yeah, I'd throw a scholarship at those bloodlines

Is Al Blades ken to Bennie Blades who played for Miami?
Posted on 3/10/16 at 3:10 pm to Whiznot
I believe so...he was another guy the crootin insiders were saying had great bloodlines, but i'm not familiar with blades

Bennie Blades was the corner who led "Bennie and the Jets" the great DBs of Miami's 1987 national championship team. Bennie is in the college hall of fame. His brother Brian was an outstanding receiver.
The bloodline doesn't get any better.

That would explain it. I'm a '90 baby. I was proud of myself for knowing surtain.

Jeremiah Holloman who we offered the other day should be on commit watch.
In separate news, looks like Kenneth Towns is going to be back next year as well.

Anyone recommend 247 or Rivals? Is it worth the subscription?
I may not survive the offseason.

I am waiting for my 247 subscription to run out. Not worth it in my opinion...if there is major news you will hear about it from multiple other sources within half an hour. The insane amount of clickbait is what is driving me away.

Personally don't believe so. Maybe right around NSD, but even then the info is pretty prevalent elsewhere for free. Offseason is tough because there really just isn't a lot of info period. Paying for a subscription doesn't mean there is more news... it just means you're reading 12 different spins on the same sound byte.

Plus all the practice pics are usually free

and most people bring any significant updates over anyway without regurgitating it directly.

I try to keep up with anything newsworthy over at Rivals and will post it over here. I think a few others do the same. Not much going on right now though... a few over there seem very confident we land D-Rob but you know how that goes.

Kiss of death. Rivals is on an embarrassingly long cold streak.

If you got $10 a month to burn 247 isn't bad. As others have said the breaking news on UGA will be here in 30min. but you can read the insider boards of every other school to see what their fans are saying. Pretty interesting, kinda like reading the team boards here but there's a lotta insiders/info out there from the other schools fans...
