You haven't been following then. All the statements have basically been from his brother. IMO the kid is doing what is right. He is waiting until he is sure of his decision and utilizing the time permitted and not set on just getting caught in the hooplah of NSD. He is keeping it close to his chest and is not out there talking about how great he is and leading teams on. He's been clear that Stanford is his top choice if he can get in otherwise it's open. Good for him.

Well said. I'm not really worried about him anymore..I hope we get him but not expecting it.

. He's retaking the SAT so he's going to push his decision in to March, but more likely April.
I feel so bad for him being led astray by his brother.

Why is it that a kid that takes longer to make a decision is a drama queen automatically? It's possible, but nothing about this is screaming for attention. It's not like he's doing a bunch of interviews every day and trolling fanbases, he simply wants to make the best decision for himself. I do believe he's being pumped full of sunshine and rainbows that he's "super smart" and that a Stanford education is what would serve him best, when it appears that may not be the case. Simply getting the appropriate score on an SAT (also why dafuq is he not taking the ACT which is significantly easier IMO?) is not really an indicator that you'll do well at Stanford. The application process is fairly demanding as well and my guess is that hasn't even been started. And all of that is before you get in... all in all, you're either ready or you're not... if you have to take the SAT 4+ times to get the score sometimes you need to read between the lines.

Cool. I don't follow this stuff very closely. I was mostly commenting on what people on here were posting and saying. My bad if I got the wrong impression.

Roquan took his time, and IIRC half of DawgNation has written him off before he showed up on campus in June.

Demetris Robertson on campus next weekend, per his bro-ager.

Demetris Robertson is such a potentially great player. I hope he becomes a legendary Dawg with a big pro career. There are plenty of people with degrees from Notre Dame who can't even find jobs. If he excels at UGA he will always be in demand.

I love UGA just as much as you, but you're delusional if you actually believe that

So, when did you graduate from UGA and what degree do you have?
Posted on 2/21/16 at 9:36 pm to GoldenDawg
Finance degree in 2012. I've never had a problem finding a job, but to compare our academics to ND is fricking laughable.

The ND history majors are pounding the pavement. The jobs aren't there.

Dude, you're a fricking moron if you think
plenty of grads, with any degree from Notre Dame, are hurting for a job. Unless they're looking for a teaching job that isn't available, they can find work. I have a degree from UGA in poli sci, about as useful as a history degree, and I had a job lined up before I graduated.

Big deal, man, you had to go to fricking Texas To get it. Who wants that.

Not sure your age, but this is a pretty common thing once you get past your early 20's. If the job is right, you move. Additionally, the lack of state income tax in places like Florida and Texas are pretty sweet (granted both of these states make up for it in fricking toll roads but that's beside the point.) Overall, while I wouldn't be racing to go live in Texas, there are a shitload of worse places to go for a job than Dallas. If you think Texas sucks, you likely haven't been there or didn't spend any meaningful time there. Realistically, Dallas better than probably 75% of Georgia areas in terms of career prospects, culture, things to do...

May be. Do you think ALL UGA graduates have jobs? There are a LOT of UGA graduates out of work or taking jobs well below the education.
A Notre Dame education puts you way ahead of demand than a UGA education. UGA is good, but ND is an elite education just below Ivy League.
And playing football for ND, while tarnished somewhat, has more prestige attached to it tahn playing for UGA. Granted, if Robertson decides to live in Georgia playing for UGA would be a plus. But if he lives anywhere else in the country the plus would come from playing at ND.

I'm sorry, but the kid is struggling to make a 1500 on the SAT and he thinks he'll make it at Stanford majoring in architecture or engineering? Congrats for aiming high and I hope he proves me wrong but that's going to be a tough road for anyone.
