So Randercous Davis has not heard from any coaches and none will return his calls. He's as good as gone to Miami. Don't we need WRs and we shouldn't under sign at all this period. We need WR and he looks like a good athlete just not a ton of stars

I hate for us to just bail on a recruit. But if the coaching staff doesn't think he is good enough, or that we can do better, it will be better to let him move on. For all parties involved.

Was reading the Bama recruiting thread and saw that Both Kirby and Saban stopped by and checked on Jake Fromm yesterday. Kirby beat Saban by about 30 minutes..
Also former UGA/ current Bama RB commit BJ Emmons didn't get a good enough score on the ACT and will have to retake it. Some posters in this thread called this months ago.

It's all about the staff's evaluation. I don't like dumping a kid though. I hope he at least has the option to sign. I'm ok with staff being honest with him on where he stands.

Richt took this approach way too much with WR. We don't need any more mid tier talent at that position, time to go for the big fish.

Very limited player in terms of potential but was fairly productive. Solid player but honestly not a big miss. Ridley was a big get as well.

That's pretty sad considering the lowered SAT/ACT scores that are allowed for athletes. Like roughly 400 points lower on the SAT and I'm sure the equivalent on the ACT. Kid's dumber than a brick if this is true.

I trust the coaches' evals but I think this kid is going to be a good player in college. He's not going to be a sure-fire NFL guy but he makes plays. He has been huge for Mays these past few years, bringing them all the way to the state championship last year. Plus he's been committed to the G for a long time without wavering, and there's definitely something to be said about that.
But it is what it is

Robertson unlikely to decide on NSD per Rusty. Waiting on SAT scores.
Early leader for circus recruitment of 2016.

Tough, because I'd like for him to be here, but at the same time you always want a kid to do as well as they can on their SATs. Hopefully we can somehow convince him to end up in Athens regardless of what he makes.

I'm guessing if he scores high he'll go to Stanford or Notre Dame??
That sucks

Yes. He's a smart kid and he's always liked the idea of playing for a school with great academics. We're a great academic school, but Notre Dame and obviously Stanford are quite a bit better. I can't get mad at the kid for having those priorities.

Don't get me wrong, because this is gonna sound like I'm dogging the kid, but his SAT score was what like a 1400/2400? It doesn't make sense to me why someone can be all about academics with that low of a score.
If he's thinking about a post football career, I've always thought being a Terry grad added to being a former UGA football player could basically land you any job you want in the state of Georgia. But that's just my opinion I guess.

believe it was 1400/1600. I could be wrong, but i agree - if it truly is out of 2400 then he is kidding himself.

You have to believe this is the case. So that would be a 2200/2400 or so with the new test.
I don't recall how much he needs to raise his score but if it's more than 40 points, he's probably going to be SOL because it's really really hard to jump your score that much. No matter how many times you take it.

If he has 1400 out of 1600 he'd already be fine with Stanford.

1400/2400 is a 930/1600. Kids brother isn't being smart about this.

We're debating SAT scores. tOffseason

I thought I read that Robertson just wanted to be accepted to Stanford as an achievement. I think he ends up with us or Bama.

Its because we are about to lose an in-state 5 star WR, who isn't above average in intellect, for academics, which is mind blowing.
