247 rated Javon Wims as a 4* (91 grade)

91 sounds about right. Kid looks like a stud on film. Glad we jumped on him

Just a few recruiting updates.
Chad Clay said Pruitt has given him the lowdown on what happened and that he is still the coach. Mark Richt and Pruitt have apparently settled their differences and Pruitt is back out recruiting which is a positive sign.
We are believed to still lead for Nauta, D. Brown and Mecole Hardman per our insiders.
The receiver position is filling up fast. Not sure if all of the guys we have commited will be a take. This is just my opnion. Javon Wims is a big athlete so that will give us a big target that we haven't had in a while and he has 2 years of eligibility left.
Coaches are trying to poach because of the stuff that spilled out in the media but it sounds like everyone took a wait and see approach which is good for us but for the guys not currently committed like Grant Halloway, D. Rob, etc this could be bad.
We have fallen behind Bama.(Go figure) for D.Rob and Stanford still leads.

As for Demetris, I don't think he or Kyle Davis chooses UGA in the end which sucks but it is what it is. That's just my opinion...Eason has been good and I think if he balls out in the Army game he might can sway some Offensive guys on the bubble before NSD.

Really sucks that we will likely miss out on both Davis and Robertson. I would be huge to get one of the two.

We’ve been trailing Stanford and Bama for almost a year, so nothing has changed. He wants to attend Stanford but no one knows if that’s a possibility. His sister will more than likely end up at UGA, so it will ultimately come down to family (UGA) or education (Stanford). I don’t think Bama is a true threat

Okay, recruiting gurus... So is there an elite left tackle in our near future? (I don't mean Ben Cleveland, I mean a real left tackle, along the lines of guys like Greg Little, or EJ Price, or Willie Allen.
We're now starting possibly the shortest left tackle in Power 5 college football with Wynn...and I have no idea if someone like Kendall Baker or Patrick Allen is the answer for next year...so clearly we've got a deficiency at this position. And of course Theus and Houston will both be gone.
We really need to land one of those three or is there some other top shelf LT with a secret commitment to UGA???

We are the clear leader for E.J. Price. Not sure if he qualifies for this but most see him ending up in Athens.

In good position with Willie Allen as well.

Who cares how big he is as long as he gets the job done.

There is your deficiency right there. Both our tackles have sucked this year. If I were a betting man, I’d say Patrick Allen is next in line regardless of who UGA lands this recruiting cycle. He received high praise coming into UGA and he has played up to those expectations in Spring and practice.

Cleveland has received unfounded criticism on whether he can line up at tackle. The guy has played on the DL for his HS, so no one really knows if he’ll play G or T. I think he’s a RT when all is said and done.

We lead for Willia Allen and EJ Price. We'll be fine at tackle.

Chris Barnes is a project type with a lot of untapped potential. He's 6'5 right now and is still growing per people close to him. His dad is 6'9

No one, but there is a reason why scouts look for "length" when it comes to tackles, especially on the left side. And why you will almost never find a left tackle who is shorter than 6-4 starting for a major college team or an NFL team. And the typical is more like 6-5 or 6-6.

I think so as well. I think there was some question as to whether he has the quickness and agility, but I think he does, at least for the right side.

Demetri Moore, JUCO OT (6'6" 293lb), stated he's ready to name UGA his leader after his official visit. He still considers his hometown team of Cincinnati a close top team and Auburn there as well.
The most interesting quote from him was this:
The most interesting quote from him was this:

He also asked Sale how many offensive line recruits UGA was planning to sign.
“I was shocked when he said five,” Moore said. “That’s basically a whole offensive line. … He also said he wanted to bring in two (junior college) tackles this year.”
Moore plans to enroll in January.

Thats weird because our mod stated recently that he didn't see him in our class at this time. That was like 2 days ago.
