Hockman's numbers all year have been absolutely horrible. I'm just not seeing what everyone else is seeing. He might have all the physical tools but it just seems like he doesn't have "it".

He can't hit anyone in stride. At all.

I honestly think a full-court press for Trevor Lawrence from Cartersville is the best thing we can do. Then we can bring him right along after Eason and possibly not skip a beat.

Players are not bigger than the program. Do you think Florida fans would've kept Muschamp if it meant Byron Cowart would be a Gator?

1. Richt is NOT Muschamp.
2. This is recruiting. There are dozens of threads you can criticize Richt in if you want to.
3. Those programs were run into the ground because of the coaching hires they made AFTER getting rid of proven coaches.

The wilddawg look definitely has to intrigue Hardman and Dallas considering what they have been doing this season in HS.

Per chip, JC WR Javon Wims has committed. Offered Wednesday night, committed last night. 6'4, 215 lb target has 2 seasons of eligibility left. Article said he was talking to UAB and SMU with southern miss being his leader prior to his commit.

Said he's 6'4" with 4.48 speed. Highlights look really good but they are "highlights" sooo..averaged 16.6ypc this season at JUCO. Pretty damn good no matter where you're at with that stat. I don't recall seeing too many 6'4" WRs that outrun guys to the endzone.

I just like the way the program sets up with the quarterback that they have coming in, too. That’s Jacob Eason.”

Wims said he got the chance to see Eason up close at Dawg Night back on July 18. He feels that Eason “easily” has the best arm of any quarterback he has worked with.

“We really had a good connection with running routes,” Wims said. “I am really looking forward to playing with him. When I first got there at Dawg Night, I had no idea who he was but I quickly found out once he started throwing the ball.”

Great quote there of why I believe we should keep Richt (and Eason) and let Schotty go this Offseason. Just my opinion though..

We can agree to disagree but if Richt goes, Eason goes and half of our recruiting class. I'm not saying that's the reason to keep a coach but in this case we go from 41 points-per-game to not scoring a TD for almost 3 games and avg'ing 29 points-per-game. It's the OC IMO. He can't coach these kids for success. Richt has done well and I think one more year would be a good choice given what we would lose in recruiting. Schotty can be let go and it wouldn't effect the class at all and IMO dramatically improve our Offensive game depending on the hire.

Why does everyone assume Eason goes if Richt goes? His dad said he's reached out to other teams in case we hire a Paul Johnson type and run the triple option, or something of that sort.

Jacob loves UGA and will stay a dawg if the new coach fits his offensive style, which is anything from Pro to Spread IMO

Mainly because you have to ask yourself several questions.

1. Why does a kid from Washington State want to come all the way to Georgia to play football?

2. Eason has said on many occasions that he is coming to UGA as long as Bobo and Richt are here. Now that Bobo is gone, isn't Richt the only common denominator in this equation?

3. Why would UGA go to a Paul Johnson type of coach/offense? Are there any coaches out there that fit that discription BESIDES Paul Johnson anymore?

That's not true. He's reinforced his stance, his father as has well, that he's coming to Georgia unless a drastic change in the offense occurs. When two sources say the same, I tend to believe it.

If Georgia's hires a new head coach every recruit will reevaluate the situation. Some recruits, like Eason, are predisposed to favor Georgia but a bad hire could be a killer.

This year has been extraordinary due to the lack of adequate QB play and the loss of Nick Chubb but our problems have been compounded by very poor management of the offense. I'm on the fence on whether to retain Richt but, if he stays, there has to be an OC upgrade, IMO.

For all the disagreement on Richt, I think every UGA fan can agree that schotty needs to go.
