I'd love to see what Richt could do with a competent AD, but I don't think he'll ever get that chance unfortunately.

I'd rather see what Herman could do with a competent AD. Hell, make CMR the AD. Don't care.

If McGarity comes out of this unscathed it'll be a complete travisty.
What a little POS.The guy had to be dragged into the modern era of SEC big budget FB kicking and screaming and acts like he's been on board the whole time.
Lets not forget his stint at UF when Urban was running his criminal enterprise and he did nothing but look the other way and count the revenue.

If Richt goes, McGarity goes with him.
After all of this has come to light, my view towards Richt has softened a lot.

I like discussing the impact of this week's events on recruiting, but does anyone have any updates on any of our targets?
Also, is Kyle Davis an early enrollee? What about Hardman?

I think McGarity is fricked regardless. At least he should be.

Please let this be true. I'm done with that smug bastard, and that came before CMR limp-dicked his way through prepping the team for big games this year. AGAIN.

He should be but I think there is a chance that he comes out of this alive unless they can find that he had a direct impact on the dysfunction of the staff.

He should be fired because instead of addressing this concerns head on, he's spent the past two years blabbing to the AJC to try to passive-aggressively get rid of Richt. He's a coward. Whether or not he caused the dysfunction is irrelevant. It's his job to help fix it.
Nevermind that the athletic department as a whole is pretty damn average lately.

Not to disrupt the recruiting thread but is a lot of this McGarity stuff based on the thought that he tried to force Richt out by not really providing him with everything that was needed, thus Morehead having to step in last year?
I would have to think Morehead wouldn't mind the opportunity to get a guy of his choosing in that position. Hard to trust someone from the Adams era.

I agree completely. So I guess the question is - what happens if it's an Either/Or with CMR and McGarity?
A protracted hire at AD would cause us to lose out on somebody like Tom Herman, because his phone is going to be on fire, come Dec. 7.

I agree 100 percent. I can't stand him, he makes me cringe, and not just because of his lack of support. I just see this as the way he could survive.

Well that sucked, then new info from Lowndes says he or someone close to him leaked all the shite from yesterday morning.

You'd want to get the new AD in place first to make/help with the hire.
There will always be new rising star coaches.

I have wondered if a lot of this is a behind the scenes power struggle playing out in the media.
There's a cynical part of me that wouldnt be a bit shocked to find out there's an attempt to paint Richt as a distant coach that doesn't have control of his program because he isn't hands on enough (ironically enough, just like his mentor Bowden).
Just make things ugly enough and you either come across as justified for firing him among a lot of big supporters or possibly even paint him into a corner where he has to resign. In the latter case, UGA wouldn't be responsible for the buyout I assume?
Again, I think a change is needed but, given the shady shite people do at that level, none of that would really shock me as out there as it may seem.

Anyone watching Hockman on the U? He looks terrible.

Rochester is killing it though.

Only watched a couple of drives

Yeah he hasn't looked great. I've been going back and forth between that and the hawks game, so I'm only going off what I saw. He's thrown a couple ropes that show he's got tons of arm potential. One in particular to Simmons was a straight dime, but Simmons dropped it.
He just looked kind of awkward to me, almost like he's still growing into his body. The second he got pressured and flushed from the pocket, the play was doomed. He wasn't very mobile
