I'd take Kamara as a offensive utility player as well. He's a talented player.

You are right Swin...I'm dead arse serious when I say there were people inside Bama program who were claiming he'd be the best out of the 4 we took last yr and it was almost like staff had already planned on RSing him and not RSing Henry and Tenpenny (and remember those 2 were bigger guys) and after you turn enough heads and still get RSed its puzzling to me.
Kamara has been in the doghouse seemingly since he stepped on campus in Ttown
Not saying either of these guys will transfer, decisions still haven't been made ultimately, but you guys should know he has been looking and likely already contacted his good HS buddy Kublanow

he broke his jaw late this spring, so i guess that caused a lot of weight loss. I wonder if they didn't RS him just so the guys they are going after this year sort of forgot him on the depth chart. The 2015 class is lousy with very good RBs. If we have the space this class on NSD, I won't mind if UGA picks him up, but I don't see a huge reason to pursue him, even if Turman transfers.
SInce UGA doesn't over sign, they really can't afford to oversign a position just for the open try-outs like Bama does.

How did he break his jaw again? He's a hell of a running back but I think he comes with some baggage.

I believe he was punched during a fight at his high school.

Well, that's two fights that he's been in. He's got some baggage he needs to get rid of first.

Ty'Son Williams, 2015 RB from South Carolina. Native of Macon, GA. 6'1" 195 lbs

We were his first big offer a few weeks back. A lot of people wondered why we offered him over other in-state options. His film is ridiculous, and we lead big.

Kid looks good in #5, reminds me of Hearst a bit...mostly speed and running on tree trunks so the pile moves backwards on contact. I still say pass on kamara unless( as I read in other posts ) he comes in as a slot receiver. I'll take a power back over a finesse back 99.9% of the time for the durability of a thicker back. Not saying he's not good enough for a roster spot but I dont think he'dbe higher than #3 on the depth chart when gurley leaves. If or when Marshall gets healthy it may do him some good to compete for the feature spot to move up the draft....again just my opinion.

How do y'all feel about Lorenzo carter?
Don't think we get him, just saw a CB prediction to LSU an know we've been trying to recruit him. Fat chance but I don't know much about his recruitment other than people saying UGA. Just curious as to how y'all feel about him.

I think the biggest competition is still UF. I think distance will play a huge part in it. UGA also gets the last OV so that should help. I think when I guy gets it into his head that it is going to be one or the other program a few months earlier, it will take a pretty incredible visit to get him off that mind track.
Don't know what kind of playing time is there at LSU, but in his case, he definitely needs to put on some heft, and it likely would be in his best interests to RS wherever he ends up.

A lot of people compare him to mingo. That's about the only draw we have other than our DL success... Are y'all or Florida thinking possible OLB? I know some schools wanted mingo for OLB.

We still feel good about Carter. As SoGa said, distance is a big factor. LSU would have to win over more than just LC himself.
Yeah OLB
Yeah OLB

Has he even visited LSU or is this That recent? Wouldn't be surprised if it was just another hat on the table.

I think he has, iirc. Y'all offered him awhile ago like everyone else.
I think he probably genuinely likes LSU, but the distance and the fact that LSU probably has very little support close to Carter would be hard to overcome

Of all the Florida guys that jumped ship, were any of them DE or OLB? If I remember correctly it was mainly offensive guys. Looks like an easy pick anyway. I wouldn't trust the dumpster fire that is Florida right now.

I'm not sure. The two main UF guys that are wavering are Cook and Lane, a RB and a WR.
I think UF was in the driver's seat in September but UGA has eroded that lead with UF's help. They also already burned their OV early this season. Since then, he has been to UGA for 4 games. Carter has his UGA OV scheduled for the last weekend before NSD.
I will say that FSU worries me with him. They're kind of lurking

That doesn't sound too promising tbh.

AU 247 guy said on the Mizzou board that it seemed like UGA wasn't pursuing Nate Brown that hard
