Malkom Parrish is also in the Army game, unless something changed. I know he got hurt in the playoffs but he played a couple games after that

So they are flying him out there to stand on the sideline?

He may be cleared by then. I think he was cleared for the playoffs but the staff didn't want to take any risks.

NOPE,HE'S STILL NOT CLEARED. A reliable source said he suppose to commit to Bama that day. It will be real interesting to see if that will be honored.

Bama won't take him if he's not cleared. At least I seriously doubt it

They'll take him, and promptly offer a gray shirt the day after signing day.

Lorenzo Carter has said he will give us his last official visit in January.

Just to piggy back on this statement, LoCarter did say (interview below) UGA and Florida are at the top. He didn’t sound overly excited when Bama came up. Don’t like to read too much into recruiting with over a month left, but I feel pretty good about him if it’s Muschamp vs. Richt.

Are there any JUCO prospects we are looking at - namely offensive linemen. I think 2 of 3 guys that VSU has in the NFL were mid-western JUCO O-linemen who transferred to Valdosta. I just wonder if we don't miss some quality o-linemen at the JUCO level. Although, it seems like we had one of these guys from Kansas 5 or 6 years ago who didn't pan out worth a flip.

(Sorry if this topic's been covered somewhere on this thread but who's got the time to comb through it and see.)

I wish we'd focus on some of those Midwest, corn-fed B1G motherfrickers on OL. That's the sort of thing that we sorely need. Get a solid OL in place, and Mason will look like Joe Montana. Don't even get me started on how epic Gurley would be with a consistent line.

We haven't had much luck lately with JUCO Olineman. Big George is the last one I can remember panning out and that was almost 10 years ago.

Mark Beard will most likely be your starting LT next year, and he has been more than serviceable. Also, UGA will be getting DeVonte Seymour this next year and he should be a good one as well.

The fact that Beard couldn't beat out Gates doesn't make me too confident though. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see it. Seymore is different since he was more of a sign and place kid.

So Kamara and Dickson both getting processed from Bama....maybe this will make the GA folk think twice before heading to T-town.

Buford, the two-time defending Class AAA state champion, will host Class AAAAAA power McEachern next season. Buford will travel to McEachern in 2015.

Gonna be a lil' D-1 talent at this one...

This! ^

It seems like at the end of every season, our o-line is going to be in good shape the next year b/c a backup lineman "should be ok." And we rarely are anything beyond fair.
