If this was the result, then why not just keep Slocum on as AD?
I guess having an arse clown as the Chancellor wasn't enough, we had to match Sharp's assclownery.

I totally agree. This is a shitshow hire. It would have been better to keep RC as the permanent AD.

I'm with Hugh and don't understand the hand wringing. AD hires aren't sexy. We didn't know what we were getting with Woodward and if you looked at his basketball hires there was real concern. I'm fine with it. Young, up and comer, SEC experience...

Count me in the not impressed group. Dude clearly would’ve known what Freeze was up to, if you’re fine with cheating at least help the head coach coordinate with the strippers better.
You pretty much have to royally suck at cheating to get caught by the NCAA these days, and he was leading a program that got hammered.

I don’t really care as long as I don’t notice him. We have Buzz and Jimbo, idc about the rest. Just keep them happy and A&M out of trouble and I’m good.

I almost never have inside info, but i just talked to a guy inside the program who says that Ross was Jimbo's choice, through and through.

Was just listening to finebaum and they had an ole miss reporter on I believe, I never caught the name, but at the end of the segment they were asking him about Bjork and he made the comment basically that he must be a great salesman and landed on his feet. He then went on to basically say that A&M COULDN’T hire the Oregon AD, and basically wasn’t going to get anyone better so landed on Bjork. Any truth to that? Also said A&M was taking like a 8-10% budget hit.

If that’s a&m’s budget then he must have been referring to Ole Miss’ budget taking a hit, because I’m fairly certain the number he mentioned was 100m.
Sorry I was driving, and half paying attention at the time. I was just more shocked about the claim that we tried to hire the Oregon AD and couldn’t. That would be news to me. I remember the Oregon AD’d name was mentioned in connection with the job, but I never heard A&M actually tried to hire him.

That make more sense. How would he have details about our budget anyway.
