are you the type that would stand in front of the Joe Paterno statue

huh?
I don't know what that means. Look...everyone on this board has EXTREMELY limited knowledge about Bork and what kind of AD he is. We have VERY good reason to think that Jimbo knows what the hell he is doing, and we know that this is a guy who Jimbo wanted. I think it's only reasonable to place more trust in his opinion, given that he knows a LOT more about this than we do, than to not. It's just being reasonable.

I don't understand. What about what I said do you think is wrong?
Posted on 5/24/19 at 12:17 am to Hugh McElroy
what exactly has jimbo done to earn complete faith when it comes to AD hires?
Posted on 5/24/19 at 12:18 am to WestCoastAg
He got complete faith when we gave him 75 M.

Where exactly did I say he earned complete faith?
I think winning national championships while working for decades in major college football programs has probably given him more insight than you or me into what a good AD looks like. No?
Oh yea - I think he knows a hell of a lot more about Bork than assholes like me who post on the secrant. I don't give a rat's arse what "the board opinion" is.

the simple fact of having success in the past doesnt mean you will do so again. we can question something when its objectively odd and bizarre like this

should i start with his history when it comes to NCAA problems or the fact that he hired matt luke?

What did he do to violate NCAA rules? Who better than Matt Luke was Ole Miss going to get?

I am sincerely baffled by your response.

What about asking about what Bork did to violate NCAA rules (in response to your criticism that he has had NCAA problems) is baffling? It seems like a completely reasonable question.

yes, he knew absolutely nothing about what was going on with the ole miss football program. nothing, at all. none whatsoever
and if, on the off chance. that he truly did not know what was going on with hugh freeze and the football program than he was outright ignorant which is worse

Of course he knew cheating was going on. What should he have done differently about things?
Woodward is great, right? Has he fired Wade yet?
It's entirely possible that Jimbo wanted Bork precisely BECAUSE he knows Bork isn't going to get in the way of Jimbo doing what needs to be done to get us to an elite program. I'm fine with that. You know who is cheating their arse off right now? LSU, UT, OU, Bama. We need an AD who won't get in the way.

oh, i dont know, maybe handle the situation so it didnt get to the point where he actively challenged houston nutt and his sleazy lawyer to go digging through their football program and hugh freezes past to the point where they were able to expose the hookers that hugh freeze was calling on his work phone?
Posted on 5/24/19 at 12:37 am to WestCoastAg
Got it. It's Bork's fault that Freeze used the school phone to get hookers.
Posted on 5/24/19 at 12:40 am to Hugh McElroy
its bjorks fault that houston nutt and his lawyer went actively digging for dirt which led to the public release of hugh freeze calling hookers
