If you reference my other thread, I had this as a tossup.

Just a sloppy, sloppy game. Terrible passes, missed lay ins, lazy defense....

I'd say sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.

If there is good news it is that you can't expect Davis, Gilder, and TTM to play this poorly again. (I think, crossing my fingers.)

Under Kennedy, we've had a good offense with good fundamentals 1 out of 6 years, and that 1 year just so happened to occur when he had a senior-heavy team and an assistant whose resume far surpassed Kennedy's own.

The seniors and the assistant are gone, so a reversion to sloppy ball wouldn't surprise me at all. Kennedy just doesn't know how to install a quality basketball offense. The data bears this out.

I'd say it was more due to finally having depth. Not that I'm bailing on this season, but next year is set up to be really good depth wise.

If you want to hypothesize that a team needs depth to improve from good to great or decent to good, fine, but Kennedy has fielded some absolutely putrid offenses (like "among the worst of all the power 5 teams" bad). I know a lot of his rosters had flaws so I never expected perfection or even close to it, but I just can't buy that we didn't have the personnel to field an offense that was at least "below average" or even just straight "bad" instead of "terrible."

Plus, as I've said many times on here, depth and talent have little to do with fundamentals. Unathletic stiffs can learn to box out correctly. A 5'10 PG who dribbles at shoulder level can be taught that contested 27 footers are bad shots that you DO NOT take unless the shot clock is winding down (yet we let House take awful shots game after game after game). And stuff like this always, always been the biggest problem with Kennedy's offenses. The players make too many dumb decisions, throw too many sloppy passes, etc. And that is in no way a personnel problem, it's a coaching problem.

This is the worst match up in college basketball. It's Kennedys fault for not having a better guard pipeline, but there's a kid sitting on the bench and a starter at tcu that would have this game at single digits.

I like Kennedy a lot. Jj Caldwell would change the entire dynamic of this team.

he would help, but we have got to be the worst team ever at using size as an advantage.

Can't believe we had people here defending Kennedy just because of one season.

Gotta get it to them. Pg makes it all go.

Alex Robinson is the best player at tcu as well.
