It doesn't matter how bad the competition is or how easy of a shot he has, Miller cannot make a simple a lay in

If we make the tournament this year, everyone should be ecstatic. The only reliable player we have off the bench is Williams. Vila has done absolutely nothing and Miller is only good on defense and atrocious on offense.

I haven't heard anyone convinced that the SEC is getting 5 into the tourney.

last nights update still has 5 getting in, just different seeds

kentucky is still at 2
florida is at 5
south carolina is at 7
arky is at 8
we are at 10

so right now, we have 4 looking in good shape with one being a lock and then you have us who are on the bubble but looking in

have to beat tennessee because the two after are going to be tough. splitting the two after would be huge even if unlikely and then we need to win the two after

looking to be at least 3-2 to start conference play. if we can split @ kentucky and @ south carolina then that would be a big 4-1 start

Hey Aggies, I'm interested in having a midseason update of how ya'll feel about your team now that OOC is wrapping up (minus BigXII challenege)

Love to hear the opinions straight from some aggies themselves

- How has home court atmosphere looked?
- How did TAMU perform OOC compared to expectations?
- General feel/expectations for SEC play (Great finish, expected finish, disappointing finish)
- What type of team identity have ya'll developed?
- Players to watch
- Players who've struggled
- Players poised to break out
- Other thoughts

Terrible. We don't deserve a good basketball team.

- How did TAMU perform OOC compared to expectations?

About on-par considering our youth, but we came extremely close to being ranked right now. Should have beaten USC, and easily could have beaten UCLA and Arizona.

- General feel/expectations for SEC play (Great finish, expected finish, disappointing finish)
We are one of the better teams in the SEC. Anything but top 4 would be a disappointing. I expect to be a bubble team.

- What type of team identity have ya'll developed?
We have good big men and streaky shooters. If they both are clicking, we can beat anybody, but I don't know if that's happened yet. We will depend on our bigs all year.

- Players to watch
Tyler Davis, Robert Williams, DJ Hogg

- Players who've struggled
Eric Vila and Tavario Miller. Miller is a known quantity, but I was expecting more out of Vila out of the gate. The potential is there, he's just soft right now.

- Players poised to break out
Robert Williams. Has the chance to play himself into a lottery pick.

- Other thoughts
I'm fine with where we are, and I like Billy Kennedy. He's a great coach who can clearly recruit. Just wish we filled out Reed more.

Will it pick up for SEC play? Auburn's home court crowd definitely does, especially for good games

Outside Davis, do you have a true grinder in the paint?

It might pick up a little, but I doubt we sell any games out unless we go on a serious streak.

Tony Trocha-Morelos and Robert Williams are both capable of replacing Davis. Having all three on the court at once has worked well at times this year.

Kevin Sumlin clearly visited the basketball team at halftime.

What a Sumlin-esque performance.

No way we make the tournament this year. It's obvious that credit for our success last year goes to Stansbury. I can't believe some of you claimed Kennedy is a good coach.

Seriously though, I didn't think this was going to be an easy game, but this is a sad showing. Our depth is going to kill us, we're likely just exhausted at this point. The only players that have come off the bench are Williams, Miller, and (lol) Caleb Smith. Vila hasn't even seen the floor (rightly so).
