I feel like any time a football recruit (especially QB) is a good D1 college prospect in baseball our fans start hyping him as a top 2 or 3 round guy for some reason. I haven’t seen anything projecting him as that right now.

Makes sense why the staff has offered multiple 3* QBs since giving Weigman his offer. I said a few posts ago that this is a 2 QB class if Conner is the guy.

Weigman is ranked 69th out of the top 100 HS eligible prospects for 2022 on Baseball America right now FWIW. Fangraphs has like 50 HS kids listed for 2022 and he’s not listed on there.

He's friends will all the Houston kids. We are going to sweep all those that matter. Also, he is IMO the best QB in Texas this cycle

That’s a bold statement about the QBs. He may very well be, but it’s a strong group. He could end up 3rd best and still be All SEC good.

Ewers - he's going to be a star in the right system, but he doesn't have the athleticism the other two do
Klubnik - kid is ice cold, but he definitely has some mechanics issues to work through
Weigman - if he doesn't go pro MLB, he will be another JFF-type for A&M. He is a lot like King with a stronger arm. Coastag thinks he's the best QB in the state, and I think his athleticism throws him over the top of the other two. Have you watched his highlights?
All three are great, but the ONLY concern I've seen with Conner is MLB. However, he has friends on both the football and baseball teams at A&M, and really wants to play both sports in college. Plus, the talent he will bring with him out of Houston is the stuff that T3 classes are made of.

His highlights are great. You see the wild card mentality in one of his highlights when he’s about to get tackled and he pitches it to a back(?) nearby for a big gain.
