Evans. Undeniable talent but oof.

I feel bad for him as I think he’s been given more than one helping of bad advice from those he trusts.

I hope he is happy with his choices in the near future and doesn’t look back with regret and what ifs.

SIGNIFICANT bumps for our players in the new 247 rankings.

Jaylon Jones up 11 spots (gains 5th star)
Demond Demas down 20 spots (retains 5th star)
Antonio Johnson jumps 139 spots to 46
Donell Harris drops 1 spot to 52
Devon Achane jumps 42 spots to 54
Haynes King drops 25 spots to 109
Edgerrin Cooper jumps 155 spots to 113
Antonio Doyle jumps 28 spots to 119
Fadil Diggs drops 15 spots to 175
Muhsin Muhammad drops 15 spots to 187
Chris Morris drops 16 spots to 242

Not a single player lost a star. Ogunbiyi was our other 4-star player.

Wasn’t Brian Williams originally a 5* and got dropped down?

McKinnley Jackson buzz coming out of official: I'll have more later today but I really like A&M's position right now. Another terrific visit, I've talked to a couple people that like the Aggies here. I continue to believe TAMU or Alabama, I'd lean towards College Station right now unless something changes over the next two days. -- Wiltfong

Based on the knowledge I've been given on the situation, I firmly believe Jackson left College Station with the intention of becoming an Aggie on Wednesday. The rub lies with what happens between now and then. Alabama will undoubtedly make a furious push in the last couple of days, especially if they feel they've got ground to make up - which I think they do.

Aggieyell update on Jackson

quote:

The latest on Jackson

McKinnley Jackson has made his decision.

Jackson finished his official visit to A&M yesterday and went back home to Mississippi to consider his options. Apparently, he didn't take long. We've been told that he has made a decision -- ostensibly between A&M and Alabama -- and has informed the coaching staffs.

The favorite here has been Alabama for a long time, but I think that has changed. The Tide thought they had the advantage because they brought in Freddie Roach, who had a good relationship with Jackson dating back to his time at Ole Miss, to coach linebackers. But it's that bond with Jimbo that I think is going to make the difference here. I wouldn't be shocked if Alabama felt that A&M had the momentum and tried to stem it by leaking the Robinson to Penn State rumor (see above).

I know the A&M coaching staff felt really confident after the official visit ended, and even though it's purely conjecture, the idea that he went home and immediately made a decision -- in my opinion -- bodes well for the guys who saw him last

Between that update and TexAgs update, I think we're getting Jackson.

Wow. If Bama leaked the Robinson rumors that’s some next level shite. We need to get to this level if we want to win a NC

Think Jackson is headed to Bama but hope I’m wrong. Will be interesting to see what we do with that spot if we don’t get him

Imagine being named Freddie Roach and somehow you are only the 3rd most famous person with that name.
