BL makes it sound 50-50. The most recent CBs show A&M.

Offered by Auburn, Bama, UF, Mich State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Tenn, and many others. So he ain't chopped liver.

Conflicting stuff on Jackson, he was committed to Auburn at one point, but Perroni said some of his offers are currently non-commitable.

Texags saying he measured in at 6’1 218, Perroni saying he talked to someone that has been around him multiple times recently and that his listed 5”10.5 on his 247 profile was more realistic.

Then there is the question if he is being recruited as a FB or true RB.

I’m just shocked that it looks like we are going to miss out on the Top 3 RB in the state, two of them 5 stars, after having a 1700+ Yard rusher with 18 TD in the SEC.

Also, Perroni made the comment that it would not surprise him to see McClellan end up at tu, and Evans at OU, with McGowen sticking with OU.

Fwiw Perroni is insinuating that we have a legit shot at flipping him. Also just had a thing about achane and said we are in a good spot for both him and ngata and it may come down to us choosing between the two

It seems like Jimbo isn’t willing to deal with the drama of highly recruited in state players, only to have them sign at OU, LSU or tu in the end. I also sense that there is a bit of negativity towards A&M with some in state recruits and Jimbo knows the only way to fix that is to build a system and win with it.

Winning fixes everything. 9-4 in 2019 and 11-2 in 2020.....the recruiting in state will be fine.

A&M absolutely being negative recruited by the BDF teams. Missing out on all of the highly-rated RB's is very disappointing. And I don't want to be a naysayer, but completely unacceptable.

Taking way too many three star reaches this year. I understand we have better coaching, but except for WR recruiting has just been a disappointment

You absolutely take BOTH and tell Jackson to look elsewhere if you don't want 3.

I agree if you can convince both.

On a side note. What's up with your username, prisonpunk. I wouldn't think being a punk in prison would be great for keeping your sphincter in top exit only working shape.

Jackson is basically taking Strong’s spot as the future FB. Taking both of those guys doesn’t necessarily mean you drop Jackson.

The reality of the situation is we don’t exist in a vacuum, and Texas is “baaaack” in some media circles (frick Georgia) and OU has legitimately been great popping out Heisman conversation players. Our best hope is to push for players to wait as long as possible for commitments hoping this season’s big games gives us a boost for in-state, and for Jimbo’s staff to put in the work out of the state to fill the gap for what doesn’t work out in Texas.

A big part of what we hoped to buy with Jimbo is legitimacy with recruits both locally and nationally and a drive to put together a staff that can eventually compete with anyone anywhere. So far I am happy with the hustle personally even if we do miss out on certain players, though eventually we need to land a big star QB recruit.

I’m Not ok with it. I’m with Colorado. If jimbo can’t land these big time players in state at best we are a 10 win team. Only way A&M gets over the hump is recruiting, and if jimbo can’t do it I’m not sure anyone can.

If Jimbo can continue to get a top 5 recruiting class while getting top talent nationally while getting key pieces in Texas but missing out on some top Texas recruits would you be happy with that or would you consider him a failure?
