He certainly has the pedigree. I had forgotten that his dad played for the Ags in the early '80s.

Who gives a shite about his age? Our coaches have a 5-7 year shelf life anyways.

Could be good, will die before we have to pay the buyout on his 12 year contract.

He’s not coached in the college ranks and I doubt he has any desire to but, man, Dan Campbell would be bad arse as an Aggie HC. what he’s done in Detroit is amazing.

Would rather have an up and comer than a guy looking for a retirement gig.

If he was looking for a retirement gig he would have taken the Georgia Tech job last year when they offered. They refused to let him wait until after the AAC title game to announce so he told them to kick rocks. He's not some bum looking for the easy way out.

Congrats guys - I hope y’all get someone good

It sucks what y’all are dealing with as a program, but with Texas coming into the conference (and in the playoff hunt) - it had to be done

My guess is that y’all already have your man, but can’t announce until after the season - which means it’s likely a big name that has his team in a good position this year

I’m pulling for y’all, and maybe even pulling against the Sips just as much…

I would add Dabo to the list,

Dabo is a fraud who got by because of good assistants and buying recruits when it wasn't allowed. He's been crap without Brent Venables.

Plus he's got that Hugh Freeze/Bible thumper creepy drip to him and he comes from a family of weirdos.

I’m an Ag and I don’t hate Lane. Would be a reasonable hire.

Lane would be another "can't win the big ones" hire.

I could see it but the thing that gives me pause about him is Ole Miss had to win several close games this season that really should have been blowouts. Hell, they were in a dogfight w/Tulane and the Wave were playing w/a kid who would have been their string QB if not for injuries the entire game.

I don't want Dabo, I thought the timing with the reports last week were interesting. I'd pass on Kiffen as well, he is no upgrade over Jimbo. My first call would be to Campbell, make him say no. After him, I'd go to Eklo first then Lanning.
