They were favored by 12 at Kyle.

FIFY. It's actually + if you are talking about us. Clemson is favored by -21.

If our state allowed sports betting, I would put 5k for the Ags. This feels like a game were we lose by 17. Why is our state so scared of gambling? This isn't #MAGA boys.

Anti gambling laws in general piss me off.

And I don't gamble or enjoy gambling.

Bump.

So we finish a likely 7-5.

basically where most people expected us to finish at the start of the season.

What's the melt about? That we met expectations?

Maybe that 2020 is looking like another 8-win ceiling with Moon Moon at quarterback.

I'm not one that's melting, but for me, it's not so much that we lost, but how we looked. Our record is exactly what I thought it would be, but we looked downright ugly at times and even in games we won, there were glaring deficiences.

One would like to see improvement and hope for the future that we're headed in the right direction. I believe we are, but we're not as far along as I had hoped. Things look pretty bad at some positions and Mond is downright frustrating (slow play calling, slow/wrong progressions, bad reads, poor pocket decisions, poor in seeing the rush, inconsistency ...)

We were middle of the road in 2019. That's exactly what we all thought we would be 5 months ago.

This off-season, Jimbo needs to work on a new QB. Mond isn't bad, but he leaves a lot out on the field. Either tell him to declare for the draft or transfer. This ain't working out. Offensive line needs some work too.

Defensively, I'm all of seeing what Elko can do once all of Sumlin's recruits are slowly phased out. We need consistent top 10 classes in order to catch up to Alabama and Georgia. As long as we sign great classes, I'm still optimistic.

Your perspective is dead on man.

Agreed on the line. I'm not 100% that another QB would be significantly better than Mond next year with the way our line looks. If they are only marginally better, I'm doubtful throwing someone else behind them is going to significantly improve our offense more than a win or maybe 2 at a stretch. I wouldn't complain if we did, Mond is certainly below average for the SEC. However, first order of business has to be strengthening the line.

I've been overall happy with the defense this year, even with the last game. They've kept us in games against the tougher teams for the most part, and that's even with the offense going 3 and out like it's their job.

Yeah I’m still in the “mond isn’t in my top 3 major concerns” camp.
