2011: Ryan Tannehill, fresh off a 6-1 record as a starter to close out the 2010 season and a #9 preseason ranking, gets caught up in the Mike Sherman choke train, losing 6 games, 5 of which were the result of a substantial blown lead late in the game.
2010: Jerrod Johnson, on his way to break the A&M career passing record, gets injured in his throwing shoulder and loses his starting job midway through game 7.
2008: Stephen McGee, fresh off of a 16-11 record as a starter and going into a new coaching regime, is injured during the first game and doesn't return until garbage time of the season finale during a disastrous 4-8 season.
2005: Reggie McNeal has a mediocre season after a promising junior campaign and is out for the season after an injury during the penultimate game of a 5-6 season.
2002: Mark Farris is injured during the spring game and then again in the season opener, losing his starting job to Dustin Long. He never took another snap after game 1.
1999: Randy McCown, fresh off a Big 12 Championship season and a top ten starting rank, loses to Texas Tech and then another three games by a combined score of 112-6, including a 24-0 raping in Jerry Sandusky's final game as Penn State defensive coordinator.
1995: Lt. Col Corey Pullig, USMC, having won all but four total games as a starter, ends the final SWC season with a loss to t.u. to cap a 3-loss season and break the nation's longest home win streak.
1992: Bucky Richardson is injured for the season early in 1992, making way for the emergence of Lt. Col Pullig.
(Did Bucky replace a senior in 1989 as well?)

Nice work. I'm questioning who down voted this?

I am hoping he declares for the NFL after this season. He might have to switch positions but I see him playing on Sundays.

Mond would be doing fine if we just had a competent o line.

At least we let him go out doing what he loved
I’ll let myself out
