You're right. Pinkel was 22-25 his first four years at Mizzou. Briles was 25-25 his first four at Baylor. Sumlin is 33-13 (with several games left this season). Thanks for the perspective.... Found the sunshine. I can sleep now. We should still finish with 9 wins.

Then explain how our defense improved overnight. Explain how we are still making plays despite being as thin at linebacker as I can ever remember.

Don't really have much interest in debating it. You have an opinion and I'm not going to change it. But situations are not comparable at all.

The defense is doing some good things no doubt. We are creating turnovers and showing signs. But it isn't nearly as good as you are making it out to be.

But we got gashed again on the ground by a team that was averaging like 50 yards rushing per game. They ran for 230 yards, most of it straight ahead, and it looked way too easy.

And I agree. We have problems on defense that can only be fixed by recruiting. But at least the problems are logical. We can't stop the run because we need some development on the interior line and we are insanely thin at linebacker.

You just can't apply the same deductions to the offense. Having a bad oline will not make receivers half arse it and not catch balls. It doesn't account for all of the bad qb play. And our oline is bad, but they aren't nonexistent.

that's just it. It wasn't forced at all. There literally couldn't have been an easier opportunity to make a play.

It was about making a throw. Go watch the play (I won't any more it gets my blood boiling). If you can get an all 22. Kirk was uncovered 25 yards down field.

After that was the absolute worst time to complain about your playing time

Kyler has been told all his life that he is great and he hasn't had to work for it on the field. That shite isn't good for anyone.

getting his butt benched for complaining about PT as a true freshman and not practicing hard doesnt exactly speak highly of him.

Better to miss Kirk 25 yards downfield than (insert distance here) yards like Allen did tonight.

Not saying Kyler is the savior but Damn, 22 straight incompletions before you try something new?

I think he's an entitled little prick. I've heard about how he practices and some other things that I don't like and Kevin keeps pumping him full of shite (not that a father shouldn't try and praise his kid) and he isn't helping things. I think Kyler can be a perfectly good QB if he'd just do the work but he doesn't want the work he just wants the glory.

What's weird is he was a great HS passer, legit better than Johnny at that level. I have no idea why he is struggling so much.

they should have gone to JH sooner sure but you cant play a kid who has apparently openly argued w/coaches in front of the team.

do that and its open season on disrespecting the staff and the entire team implodes.

What's the source on not practicing hard? The coaches with ulterior motives? The unbiased truth machine that is Texags (lol)?

Because this isn't high school and there are better players at every position on the field and he's to damn small to see over anyone.

Something is up, bc they wouldn't keep rolling out wildly inaccurate Allen tonight if Murray wasn't in the doghouse. Murray looked as if there was no way he was getting into the game. He didn't even look interested.

Hubenak looked like he had a live arm at least

But JFF was only about an inch taller and was a good passer about three games into his career. Granted, he had a redshirt year.

That shot of Harris talking to him on the sidelines was quite telling.

FWIW people were talking about his spoiled attitude back when he was in HS. Most including me just rolled their eyes because what star QB isn't a little full of himself.

Sounds like it may actually be a problem
