Hard to blame them. Turgeon is a solid coach but he probably won't satisfy a fanbase with high expectations

If only he could land a job that didn't have high expectations or demands. Somewhere where getting a few good wins per year and reaching the tournament would be enough.

UCLAs main 9.95 guy just said that beard expressed legit interest in our opening but we passed on him due to some skeletons in his closet

dont know what to make of that. hes the absolute gold standard for UCLA info but i have no idea on how reliable his info would be for beard and other non UCLA jobs

Cmon man. UCLA's last 2 major hires were Steve Alford and Chip Kelly and you're buying the "skeletons in the closet" excuse?

the admissions scandal radically changed the coaching search. the school is 100% doing what it can to stay away from shite

and he was talking about how WE turned him down over something in his past

Wait you're saying A&M turned down Beard due to a shady past? That's even less believable than UCLA doing so.

It's really not. My family is close with one of the bigger basketball donors and this guy recently said A&M would lose his money if we hired someone with a past like Bruce Pearl(just a random name we were discussing).

It doesn't feel real. I almost want to feel good for them.

I think UVA takes it. They were my pick from day 1(of tourney, not regular season).

I go back and forth from rooting for them, because I like Beard and the way they play, to hating them every time I encounter a Tech fan and hear them discuss it

I agree with you though I think they win it tonight

Another good point one of my friends brought up Saturday was “if the situations were reversed would they be rooting for us?” I think we all know the answer to that one

i'm hoping farmer is correct, because i'm firmly in the "anyone but tech" camp, but if the refs let them play i think tech wins.

i also think they win simply because frick me.

Would be happy for my best friend. He is a life long red raider. But I am not sure we could handle the dust storm created in west texas by all the blowhards a natty would create.
