Definitely off topic, but VY got fired from his tu job in their athletic department. I almost feel bad for the guy. Between him and Johnny smh

Probably a reaction to the Wade news. They didn't want the FBI looking into their shady practices.

He literally got fired from a job where he just had to show up and breathe.

In his defense, if there is one guy that can frick THAT up, it's definitely him.

Him and Johnny almost in a competition to who can be more of a f*** up post college. VY might be leading right now despite having a better NFL career.
The university basically created a BS job for him making six figures and he managed to screw that up. Impressive.
You’d be surprised though, my wife works up at A&M and had an office next to a guy with a similar position who just took donors out to lunch and stuff like that. She said he’d nap in his office multiple times during the day, played games on the computer, basically worked less than 30 minutes a day for the most part and it took A&M several years to fire him, even though everybody knew he wasn’t doing anything.

It's hilariously sad.

So I felt like a complete dumb arse just now. I'm listening to a 90's alternative mix on youtube while I work today. I hear a song and I am like there is now way that should be on this mix. The song: Runaway Train
The artist I thought it was done by: Tom Petty
The band that actually recorded it Soul Asylum.
Here it's been 25 years since that song came out and I always thought Tom Petty did it.

DM waited to the last second to try and get him to ball and House wouldn’t. Kid believes in himself. However, he’s a strong fit in Houston and we’re willing to give him PT. I hope he doesn’t miss an opportunity after the season with a bad fit.

either way yall will probably give him the QO which would still pay him more money, in AAV, than what he was getting on that three year offer

Good for UT I guess?
They also put USC in that list, which makes no sense at all to pay a bribe for.

I’d prefer rich lefty elites to not desire their underperforming children to come to A&M.

How do you figure? It's a top 25 school with a 16 or 17% acceptance rate, and is pretty much the top name brand school for Hollywood folks.
But they weren't just trying to get her into a better school, they were bribing and cheating to get her into any legit uni. And I saw comments posted in other threads that it was really about being able to go party with rich little count friends who were also going to USC.

Well for one, USC is a private school. Why not just make a huge "donation"? Isn't this the way it has been done for centuries? Especially at private schools?
Posted on 3/15/19 at 1:47 pm to Texas Weazel
Cost. Buying a building for a university is a donation of millions, most of the parents caught up in this paid amounts in the hundreds of thousands.

But 500k? That's no pocket change (ok, maybe in California it is). I'm pretty sure a gift of half a million dollars would at least get you a meeting with a department head at any school.
