I'm not familiar with him, but glad they picked a broadcaster and not an old boy from Joe Routt Blvd.

Somewhere DrRC or tmc just busted. Can’t remember which one hated him. Will Johnson that is, and I think it was tmc.

South is who I can't stand. He's a good Ag but he should have been moved to color commentator 20 years ago.
About all I'll say for Will is he isn't Dave. His halftime reports at Kyle gotta go though. Dude is always yelling into the mic.

But I'm rejoicing with all you young whippersnappers that it isn't Will Johnson. I think he does a fine job with "The Pulse", but on play-by-play he's damn near unbearable.

I am. Andrew Monaco has been doing Spurs coverage down here for FSSW for years. I'm crazy excited that I'll still be able to catch his coverage even though in sad he's leaving the Spurs team.

Hope Ags like him as much as we Spurs fans have. Of course a lot of Alamo Aggies will recognize the name, but man I was shocked to see that news pop up in my feed.

He really is a nice guy. Not sure people realize what a great guy he is when they talk shite about him.
He was also a great broadcaster before Bill Byrne jammed up the broadcast with local promos.

He had lost it well before Byrne came around. I'm sorry but the guy flat out could not call a coherent game as far back as the mid 90s.
Again, good Ag but flat out terrible at play by play on radio. He would have been perfect for color but that's it.

agreed. I basically gave up on Aggie football in the 2000s because of him. I lived in CA at the time, we were bad, and had crappy tv deals so I could never see us play on tv. I struggled through many seasons with ESPN Gamecast telling me what happened and Dave on the radio not telling me what happened until it wasn't worth it.
It doesn't matter much for me as I've moved and life in the SEC (and on SEC network) is great.

You Texaggers who couldn't keep up with Aggie football because you couldn't understand the play by play either weren't real fans or you just don't know shite about football. Leave that kind of shite on the Zoo.
